The extra pressure comes from Celtic being expected to win every single match they play in Scotland and to qualify for the CL year in year out. Now, you don't get that at Schalke or Sevilla. Not sure what is expected of Brondby each year but I very much doubt they are expected to do anything in Europe, and they certainly have nowhere near the number of fans Celtic have. So you're talking out your * saying there is no extra pressure playing for Celtic.

And many Celtic fans despise many Celtic players? That's just bullshit. Some fans may dislike certain players for good reason but we don't just abuse or hate players for no reason. For example, I don't like Commons because he's a frustrating player, and I don't think he is good enough to be in the starting eleven currently. But I don't despise the guy, far from it.

Your point about Celtic being one of several teams expected to win their league is futile. What leagues are you talking about?

I never said the tactics in the SPFL were great did I? I just said that it's a myth that the leagues up here are just full of hatchet men. I don't give a * what other leagues you watch. Maybe Pukki can thrive in the tactically astute Swedish league or Finnish league, but he's never going to get anywhere playing in those leagues.

Get over it * sake, he never made it here and most likely won't get another chance. Your love of him is quite sad.

It's counter productive to go on with this bickering here. Pukki is a talented player, most agree with that. I do have to say though that based on this forum Celtic fans are very harsh on their players if they aren't immediate superstars.

Sometimes things just don't click and that happened in Celtic where the 1st season was definitely unsuccessful.

I personally think the best path for Pukki would be to play one more good season in Brondby and then move on to a mid-level Bundesliga team or equivalent. I don't have any doubt that he is going to have a solid career, he isn't that old and he has talent.

 

Pukki is not a winner. Simple as that.

 

Well, you seem like a bit of a loser as a human being as well so at least he has company. Most players have had sometimes a season or two that didn't go according to plan.

 

Or he can just stay at Brondby and make most of his career there like many other players do at Celtic. Not to mention such a top player like Henrik Larssen whom I greatly love.

For the first time Pukki has been able to play 90 mins a game the whole season long. It's beginning to be visible in his play as progress.

Sometimes people, fans and coaches/managers are impatient and have not time to wait. To sign players is not cheap nowadays and clubs are expecting ever more immediate results.

As for Celtic I can see the permanent need to have success domestically and in Europe. So often expectations and the pressures of success go easily up to the heavens.

The high expectations have sometimes been reflected here, too, as harsh reactions from some fans towards players.

And your country man will never be a Celtic player. Nothing personal just business. I defended him more than most on here by the way and I stand by my assessment that he does not have the required winning mentality to be our top striker. He is a good footballer though.
