I know what you are getting at, I too don't see the potential many others seem to.

If he has all of this ability, how would you describe the likes of Hooper who is a better striker, I suppose he could play in a top class league for a top class team as well.

And an attitude like yours is what makes it great to be a supporter of the most successful Club in Scotland.

He's a nutter, * it always good to have a nutter in the team, looks like we ain't pushing the boat out for a striker so if we're only getting an average one might as well make it a mad one.

It's quite weird because the people who seemingly don't want us to sign Ciftci seem to be the same ones who were "underwhelmed" by Boyata and thought Janko was "too young" to replace Matthews.

just had a look over the start of the leigh griffiths thread there, same old same old on the first few pages, why cant people, celtic fans, give players a chance, if and when they become celtic players.

I personally overlooked all the * hanging over Griffiths when he signed, and was happy to get a player with a an excellent goalscoring pedigree - even if pretty rough around the edges as a human being.

But, this Ciftci * puts me in mind of El-Hadji Diouf and all of his twisted, unrepentant characteristics.

when i was at tannadice this year for the games against united i hated that * ciftci, he gave his all against us, was not so impressed with him at the games at parkhead, but that said i honestly would give any player a chance when coming to us, and more so the fact he looks like he really wants to be here.

Ciftci bit a * on the leg on the fly, then claimed it was lipstick or some pish.

He's as sneaky as that other * Djoof.

El hadji Diouf is who he puts me in mind of. I can't honestly believe they r fans who want this to happen I would rather we signed a back up goalie than this guy.

Of course he wants to be here mate, especially considering hos only options are to remain at a club in freefall, sign for a pishy team in English League 1 or sign for the Champions of Scotland in witha chance of CL fitba.

We would be better off sticking with what we got. If that's our market we should be ok not signing a striker.

£1.5m is seemingly what Dundee Utd want think that is a bit much considering they were willing to accept a lesser offer from Wigan.
