Most of the away allocation sold by Celtic goes to ST holders and supporters buses. To have a chance of an offer you need to state you want to be considered for away tickets.

Being in either though does not guarantee you a ticket. Most games will start off with a ballot and offer letters being sent out.

If after offers are made and not taken up then ST's usually get the chance to buy any left on a first come first served basis.

All said though at most away games you will find spares being sold outside the stadium. The exception being up at Aberdeen where our allocation is only around 2000 in total.

I've got a mate who has just moved to somewhere called the Den of Lindores ( which sounds like somewhere off Star Wars to me). Sounds to me like the sort of place that will be full of ewoks. anyway think I'll go and see him one weekend next year and go to either St Johnstone or one of the Dundee teams. I have been to St Johnstone but years ago. Of the 3 away games which would folk recommend in terms of both a day out n ease of getting tickets?

Not sure about Dundee but both St Johnstone and United usually sell tickets directly to Celtic fans.

Perth is quite a boring new stadium several miles from the centre, United has a lot more character and always a good atmosphere in our end, both cities are quite decent in my view

Dundee Utd mate, no doubt about it. You shouldn't have a problem getting tickets for any of them to be fair, but for a day out, definitely one of the Dundee teams. I would say Utd though. Pub near by usually has someone playing the tunes as well, before and after the game.

Correct me if i've picked you wrong, we have a separate part of the forum for buying selling tickets, unfortunately you can't post in the section until you have made 500+ posts on Talk Celtic.

I'm not asking to buy tickets just information or advice on the best way to get them

In my experience the only places away bar cup semi's and finals that you rarely see spares being offered outside on the day is Pittodrie and Tynecastle.

You reckon I could get two tickets next to each other if I turn up outside Fir Park on the 8th of Aug. One of my mates is down and we are wanting to go. If not, what are the chances of buying 2 directly from Celtic and you think I should sign up for the away ticket scheme anyway?

Good chance of getting spares outside for sure though maybe not sat together.

For nearly every away game Celtic will only sell direct to ST holders. I believe this year offer letters won't be getting sent out and it'll be up to each individual ST to either phone up or go online to see if they have been allocated an away ticket.

I'm not 100% certain but I think every ST holder is in the ballot for aways and there is no actual application like the home cup scheme. That's something I need to check for myself also.

If that is so my advice would be to take every away offered and increase your chances of being allocated tickets for semi and finals.

Some clubs will also sell direct to the away support but I can't remember who does and doesn't.

I had my season ticket from 2007 till 2012 & then every ST holder could go to away games you didn't have to sign up to away games so unless that's changed you should be able to go to any away games where teams sell directly to celtic & I just bought my ST again & the women in ticket office didn't ask me to sign anything for away games so I think it's still the same
