Always likely to stay in Spain, playing a country that he needs to adapt to.

Getafe is a sensible move. A team where he'll more than likely get games in La Liga, while remaining in and around Madrid.

Staying in Madrid as well. Probably a sensible move.

Would have liked him here to see his brilliance in the hoops, but I am afraid he would have been a distraction while we are building our team.

As soon as he starts dominating games he will be gone again.

And we will have to regroup.

Every press conference woule be full of people wanting to know about Odegaard, not about Celtic. Another distraction.

So what's really in it for us?

This. I couldn't have said it better myself. I'd * love to see him here but it would hinder his career and our rebuilding process

Maybe in another year or two when he is settled in at madrid and used to the Spanish game, then he can come to us to play in Europe with his old coach

If we get him on loan I'd imagine rogic will go out on loan. No room for both

Would be the must exciting signing ever! Prob end up being *:56:

Nah kidding on I'm sure he'd be ace and we would end up missing him when he goes back to Madrid.

    Please happen!

It'll be Jason Denayer all over again.

    I don't get it;
Loans are good when there is option to buy - don't see what this does for Celtic.

Aye. I really wish we hadn't signed Denayer. Don't be stupid.

Preemptive response to 'Ødegaard isn't any better than the players we have': I'm guessing you don't actually know that.

Can only be a good thing, the wee man's a class act. Absolutely strolls the midfield for a a boy of his age.

In saying that, I'm going by youtube videos, which i know can be deceiving. If it works for us, and we develop him.. Then maybe Real Madrid wouldn't mind doing business in future with other youngsters.

    I'm all for it!
