Lemon fanta from a glass bottle, ice cold. Discovered the wonders of this drink while in Corfu in the early 90's. * * it was good while the hot sun was beating down on you.

Is there some scientific reason why soft drinks taste better out a glass bottle than they do out a can? They definitely do.

I believe there is. I heard a bloke on the Simon Mayo show a few years ago explaining this during that bit where they do the Grange Hill theme tune.

Anyway, it's to do with the fact that a glass bottle lets less air escape than a tin can, which in turn let's less air escape than a plastic bottle. Don't ask me to explain the science, but that's the reason apparently.
