    How is it pish?

Give me one logical reason why you think he's performing well?

Me and the majority of Celtic fans can see that he's not playing well right now.

Why blindly persist with him, or indeed anyone else who is playing * (seeing as this ain't the Izzy thread)?

He provides nothing in a defensive or attacking sense at the moment and despite no left back cover should be dropped. I'd be happy to have Matthews on the left and Fisher at rb until Lustig returns.

izzy is the best lb we have had in years and people want to chuck him? * eejits.

he can be a bit complacent on occasion, but i think any player who doesnt have any serious competition for his place may get like that every now and then.

we need to bring another lb in for cover and to keep it in izzy's head that there is another option if hes not on top of his game every match, just to keep him on his toes

I don't know. I feel a bit sorry for Ambrose but even when he's playing well, he slips up at least once or twice a game and gives away possession needlessly. Domestically, we can get away with that but better teams will punish us. He's a confidence player as well - his performances have dipped this season because people are never off his back.

O'Connell, I really can't see him making it here. He's too slow and he's shown no outstanding qualities.

I wouldn't be in a rush to get rid of either - we'd need to bring in a couple of centre-halves at least before we even thought about it - but I think we could do better.

I don't think Stokes is horrible, I think he is a decent backup player, worse than Griffiths and Guidetti. But unlike Balde and Boerrigter we might get some good money for him. I would never punt Stokes for free though.

I'm just worried we'd replace him with worse. We'd get - what? - £3m for him? I don't know if we could find twenty plus goals a season with £3m. We still haven't replaced Hooper.

I think Ambrose could suit a system with 3 defenders, with him playing a Libero role being allowed to do more or less what David Luiz does, with 2 center backs behind him to cover up when he does *. If we were ever to try this, Ambrose could have a first team place.

Since Deila is quite unflexible with formations, Ambrose is good enough for cover and nothing else. We have to factor in how much he earns, if he earns too much to sit in the bench and how much would we have to pay to bring a decent defender from elsewhere. Realistically it might be better to not punt him for now.

Again, no answer or comeback. You're the very definition of deluded. Denying the truth just because of an emotional connection to someone.

Izzy may be the only player in the squad who actually shakes hands and spends time with fans but he also: dives rashly into tackles, gets caught out of poisiton constantly, blasts crosses as hard as he can out of touch or way over the bar, gives away too many fouls (especially in Europe), tries to burst past people with pace but is often caught lacking thus giving the ball away, and also acts without thinking such as his stupid keeping the ball right outside our box in for Dundee Utd to get a penalty yesterday.

His best form is a long, long way behind him and I don't see how anyone who watches Celtic regularly could say any different. Certainly everyone I sit with or talk to at games agrees with me, so I must think you only watch on streams and don't fully appreciate how poor he currently is?

Again, no comeback or display of intelligence. Shame.

None of my posts are laughable though and I bet if you did a poll right now to see whether people thought Izzy was in good form or not, people would agree with me (as they do in real life, where most people aren't cheeky stupid *).

Yeah when he was our starting Cb he had a good partnership with Wilson and Virgil, he has some good qualities but unfortunately it is down to his concentration level and indecisive on the ball. We deffinitely need 2 Cb's in, a big turn around in our squad worries me as it can take a long time for them to fit in.

Our main target should be a proven European goalscorer, in dire need of a consistent Striker.

O'Connel is great on the ball, confident, good in the air and at tackling. He may not be fast but still isn't too slow, he has great qualities and does need to work on his game but needs experience to do that. Remember he is only 19, deserves a chance I think.

Making major changes is a sure way of not getting CL qualification and waiting until champions league qualification has been achieved is the sure way of signing the same as before . So it's either spending money we haven't got or getting players we don't want .

It's hard to understand why Izzy's fallen out of favour on this forum. Is Izzy the new Samaras with this section of our support? Hard to understand why anybody would want to get rid of him. He wouldn't be easy to replace. But then, I'd take Samaras back in a second as well, so it's probably me that's not right in the head.

He has good qualities but lately his crossing has been atrocious and his performance at home to Inter was a disgrace. I like Izzy but i think his problem is that we literally do not have another player who is a natural left back. If he is fit he starts so he has become complacent. We need at the very least someone who can compete with him for his LB slot or even take it from him.

Guidetti will stay, I think? He has no future at ManShitty.

    LOL!

The huns are in need of a manager with such infinite "natural intelligence" that you currently possess - you should apply......

Hope he goes. He's never good enough to play for Celtic.
