A lot of clubs also respect a player wanting to stay and fight for his place though. The player has abig say in where he goes or not, City would also prefer he would go on loan in the Premiership as well.

He's easily good enough for that level. They won't be short of offers.

It was either him or rudy

Think the only big change outwith the defence is the Strikers. do we want a selfish striker or someone to link up the 3 other front players suppose it depends on how much squad rotation we will be using with someone to link up play Stokes and commons will probably get around 40 between them ( optimistically ) don't see Amstrong and GMS getting anywhere near that but those two will start in Europe for me probably like an other CAM for backup incase Stef gets injured ( hopefully just bring though someone from the youths for that )

he is probably good enough for Burnley or Aston Villa, but there are good reasons why they would want him to stay here instead:

    - The Ronny connection. Ronny has had connections at City for many years and taken care of and developed players for them at his former club. Apparently to their satisfaction.

    - Denayer has been progressing very well here at Celtic and is getting both domestic and european experience. There will be no Europe at Burnley or Queens Park.

So the wise men at City might just decide to keep him at Celtic. He is only 19, so there is no rush to move him to a EPL side where hoofing the ball out of danger is the standard mode of operation.

At Celtic he is playing football and getting better at it every week.

I'm not a fan in two 'ball playing' CB's at all, I want my CB's to win the ball and distribute to the midfield as quick as possible keeps us as solid as possible at the back which will be a major plus heading into Europe. Agger maybe??

Also no faffing about with strikers! not seen enough of Guidetti to say he's going to take us to the next level,so it's time to invest big time in a proven Champs League striker.

Have to disagree with you mate. Izzy is, in my opinion one of the best Celtic players in a long time at Celtic Park.

His strength lies in clever attacking wing play. Defensively his game is much weaker. The answer ? Move him to Left half ( I`m not sure of the modern equivalent ! )

Don't need to try and convince me the plus points of playing for Celtic mate, you're 100% right. I don't think it will turn out that way though.

Assuming we will sell VVD for good money and dont loan Denayer for another season:

1.Sign up Guidetti if gets quite sharp and fit, if not another striker
2.Sign up Wakaso as squad player(backup for CM and competitor for LB)
    3. Two new CBS

Wakaso will cost just over £4m. We'll not pay that for a squad player.

I think we would be wrong to go for guidetti. In our system we play one up front and this requires speed. Guidetti hasnt really been injured so his fitness should be as good as the rest of the players.

Defensive coach and two CB positions cemented -- i am presuming that VVD is for the off and if Denayer wants to go back to City then we need to have something in place due to the early qualifiers

I think Ronny has most of the rest covered though Scep remains a mystery..

I think the fitness of the team is really starting to show.. will give Ronny another season to build his own team .. love the philosophy he brings and if players do not want to be at the club then all we can do is ensure we get top dollar for them

Might be outpriced for him but I reckon that Soriano could do a job for us in Europe. Also does nobody think Fisher is a good understudy to Izzy? not debating it or anything just curious

I don't think a pacey striker is what we need at all , certainly on the evidence of the euro ties.. We need a target man , someone to hold it up and link with others. Our play up to attack is stellar from our forward thinking midfielders , we need the last piece of the jigsaw up there , we wont find a Henke but there will be a Hartson , Sutton or a big JVoH out there for us.

With the current squad we just need a good left back.

Could see Stokes going to Bolton.

Chances are however that we'll lose Virgil... And Denayer and Guidetti and Wakaso... And Tonev.

So I can honestly see Ronny taking 2 of his Stromgodset centre halfs for reliability or a scottish league defender and some Man City defender like Rekik or something.

    Widnae mind Cifti.

If we have to sell VVD due to the offer being very high then I would bring in 2 experienced centre backs bust a ball sack to try and keep denayer for another year get in a left back who can challenge Izzzy hard for that position and the obvious one for me would be a ST who can bang in the goals - all the dead wood squad/fringe guys who are in the club no getting a sniff get them off the wages ASAP.

Hopefully keep denayer for another year, I think van dijk be defs away to the englsh premiership. I think though lustig could go through a Sergio ramos esque transformation and become a crackin centre half. Obviously need another cb though if we lose van dijk.

i reckon we need cover for brown or biton also, we dont have many options in there if any the 2 were to get injured.
