Half the player he was due to injuries :54:

Being honest I can't see him reaching the level he was at even when he peaks. Or has he already peaked?

why do we need to show loyalty to a player who doesn't perform for us and has very very limited ability?

On the 58th minute when he came on Celtic went down to 9 men IMO.

6 passes in 35 minutes and 3 of them went astray.

Ive never seen a player in a Celtic jersey that looked like he couldnt give a * like he did that night ..there was no harassing or closing down the Inter players nothing ..he showed no hunger or desire.

Dead weight stealing a wage is all he is.

I don't think any of us disagree that james has been unlucky with injury. I have also read that wingers and players similar to him are maye a bit more prone to injury..

We have signed some players with history of injuries and it is just my feeling that sometimes the club show too much loyalty... If someone can point me to 3 games in a row where Forrest has performed at a consistent level then i am willing to reconsider but Lustig has consistency even though he has fitness problems.

James has been under performing -- i am not saying shove him out the door but i do think the existing poll no longer reflects the fans feelings. Would love to see him improve and kick on but i have this bad feeling that it will be a reccurring situation with him..

Derk - poor buy and should have been fitness related contract. Always willing to give a guy a chance and Gordon proves its worth taking a chance .. but long term contracts with players who rely on speed is something that needs looked at

Wakaso - not overly fussed about him.

Ronny is building something good here and i think next year will see changes in our staff. Best of luck to James getting a run of injury free performances and then we can make a decision

He lost the ball on 3 occasions and not once did he make any effort to track back & win possession again!! * him! No excuse for being a lazy *! If you can be happy playing like that you shouldn't be at Celtic!

Time to move him on in the summer I think. His injury problems are ridiculous and he's far too inconsistent. Last time I can remember he played well was against St.Mirren before Christmas... got taken off at half time because of a migraine then we didn't see him again for the best part of a month!

He's * and has been for two or three seasons - the odd good performance (literally about 2 games in the past two years) doesnt make up for the fact that he barely plays and when he does he doesnt do anything to suggest he deserves a place in the side. Sell.

He played well pretty much every time he played last season, all the more remarkable as he was being thrust into the side the second he could run again after an injury.

He has talent, he has pace and he has a lot to offer us if we can sort his injury problems out.

We would get peanuts for him at the moment because of his injuries so it makes absolutely no sense to sell him. Lets see if ronny can get him fit over the next few months, get him a full pre season and then see where we are after that.

If he breaks down early next season then it will probably be time to cut our losses, which would be a crying shame because he would * rip * up if he was fully fit.

This just about sums up my exact thoughts on Forrest on Thursday night.

It's an opinion I've had of the player for long enough now.

I remember saying on here around the time when Neil Lennon was slabbering all over Forrest that the praise he was getting was exaggerated, and he went downhill not too long afterwards, and has steadily continued to do so, imo.

I don't mind players having off days, as long as they put a shift in. Forrest, for me, too often looks like a player who lacks commitment.

I thought this season, when played on the right, he was doing a lot more tracking back than he ever has done and much less throwing his hands up in the air when he got/gets dispossessed.

It's hard to keep flitting in and out of the side with injuries and be expected to perform from the get go as soon as he is selected again.

I don't think we will ever be able to fully judge what kind of player he is these days unless he gets a run of 15/20 games uninterupted.

    Therein lies the problem.

My opinion of him goes way back, and not just of the player we have now who plays 2-3 games every other month or so.

I've not rated Forrest for a good while now, even when he was playing regularly.

He frustrates me more than any other player in years at the club.

There's a difference for me of a player who runs back, and a player who runs back and is willing to put a foot in, or try and win a 50/50 ball for instance. A player who will put pressure on a defence with workrate.

There is not another player that I can think of in the squad right now who shows less commitment than Forrest, not one, and it's even more evident because of the style Deila demands from players.

I agree, Forrest may well track back, but he doesn't really put in a challenge. The lack of work ethic against Inter was criminal seeing he was completely fresh!

I feel people, and it's a sensitive topic, are letting him off more now because of the injuries that he's suffered. There's no doubt that he'e been desperately unlucky with injuries, but that doesn't necessarily explain his lack of work ethic in 30 minute blasts off the bench. As much as anything, for me he just doesn't offer enough. Even when at his peak I didn't think he was a *great* player, I liked him, but thought he was far from the best we had to offer.

I would love for him to be great, but unfortunately I just don't think he's that, we have better.

Don't rate him at all, the only thing he has is his pace and he doesn't use it often enough. Instead of bombing down the wing and getting balls in the box he cuts inside all the time and is just too predictable.

Bomb down the wing and throw crosses into who though?

He cuts inside for a reason and it's not just tactical.

He had some really good games earlier in the season as well as last season, doing the same thing.

As has been said before we are wasting our time playing him now!.

I actually dread him coming on because he is a wasted jersey he hasn't had a truly positive performance in at least 2 years and is dragging the whole team backwards.

Why Ronny,JC etc can't see this is beyond me.
