    You can't hold his title busting goals on H S against him. He did score some great goals for us . But I can't think of a bigger moaning faced streak of misery . He could grouse and gripe all game .

    Our team by the end of that 04/05 season was aging and ridiculously slow. If not for Bellamy on loan, it's hard to think of a slower team tbh.

    All in their 30s: Balde, Varga, Lennon, Thompson, Sutton, Hartson.

    None of them even blessed with pace in their prime let alone later in their careers. You could see fast teams of the time- ie Hibs with Brown and Thomson in midfield- flying past us. Overhaul was needed, it really was the end of an era.

    Hard to hold all that against Scott McDonald!
