i dont mind as i know some genuine celtic fans that just happen to be rich and are a bit older now so like the quieter seats.

But what i hate is trying to make the rest of the crowd like it, with no standing, no drinking etc. just bollocks. price it reasonable too

I just don't understand why so many people buy tickets to matches, then sit in silence and moan at people for standing up or singing.

I'd rather have 20,000 people on their feet for 90 minutes than 60,000 sitting doing * all. Just being there isn't supporting the team.

Maybe with the social media work you are doing Zzhjt you can tell the Chinese speaking community what goes on during a stadium tour.

Can you not through the Chinese people you know find those have an interest in football at least and get them to go along on the tours?

Can't say I like the so called Prawn Sandwich brigade much myself, though the couple of guys I do know who pay for hospitality are genuine fans, who use Celtic to network and build up business contacts more than anything else. Then again after paying out thousands can't blame them.

Very few who make use of the hospitality on offer every week are outside the working class and it's those who think they are a better fan than others that I have no time for.

By the way if you don't draw out my ticket in the Windfall on Sunday I'll be having words with your local Triad Boss. :icon_mrgreen:

If we gain one fan out of all those on the tour then its a good thing.
After all at some point in our life we was all new to this club.

well first I should say maybe I use the term "prawn sandwich fan" worngly, it seems caused a bit confusion. What I mean in case like this is that the people invited by the club, in other word the people who our club "court" to, are not interested in football at all. This fact made me feel a bit sad and angry, but I understand that nowadays as football clubs operated as business/ corperate, they all try to get access to a wider customer base, thus forget that hardcore fans are their life blood. It is inevitably a cruel truth to me.

As for my "work" for Celtic, it strictly limited to writting articles on Chinese social media. I did that long before and without the incentive (free home ticket etc) I would do it anyway. I have absolutely no say on any club issue, and the club now have a Chinese employee to deal with these stuff.

I know mates who support Everton/Wigan/Spurs etc who knows football and showed great interest to the story of Celtic did not get invited. Instead these political/ commercial leaders in Chinese community who knows * all about Celtic got the chance.

While I fully understand the reason behind that, still as a passionate Celtic fan I cannot help but felt irritated.:47:

BTW I would not judge anyone based on their vocal level and whether they use hospitality or not. you get elder fans, wealthier fans and fans who just being shy or quiet, they are by no means have lesser value to our club :celt_2::shamrock:

of course. I'm not looking down new fans. the point is those 14 would never return to CP for a game, not a chance. For them the CP tour is no different than a tour to London eye or buckingham palace , just a day out and good opportunity to network.

I'm probably biased but I thought people with no interest in football would still be impressed with Celtic Park. I mind when I was younger going on a tour of murryfield with my school & still finding it interesting despite having no interest in rugby whatsoever.

Imagine we got rid of the "prawn sandwich brigade" and converted those seats to normal seats some drop in income that, suppose we could just increase the cost of a standard ST huh ..

Everyone is born welcome at Celtic. Some people choose to embrace bigotry and hatred. In doing so, they make themselves unwelcome.

Exactly. My father in law (well, gf's dad) has quite a bit of money. He wasn't born a Celtic fan, nor did he take much interest in football until about 8 years ago, when he decided he was just going to buy a ST at Celtic. Buys the grand children jersey's, scarves etc and spends a fair bit. He's probably a prawn sandwich fan but when I've been with him I've noticed most of the folk around his area are - all 'old-ish'. Must spend a fair whack though. We need these people.
