    Hugely overrated.

    I'm fine with him having his moment in the spotlight as he doesn't seem like a bad guy but really his singing is just annoying.

    I like the one he did with that American group, "lalala" I think it was, was pretty big two summers ago. Besides that it's just bland modern pop, like a camp version of Ed Sheerans rubbish.

    I could name you several songs that sound the exact same and Petty hasn't batted an eye to them, but all of a sudden a song with a similar rhythm becomes a top-selling hit, he's all over it?

    I'm not saying he isn't, but would you start holding your hands out to people writing songs with a backing track similar to yours? when there's probably millions out there like it?

    I was in a band a good ten years ago, when I was a mosher and we had a song just like that. Never heard of him in my life at that point :smiley-laughing002:
