He has a future here if played in the central midfield role.
Could also be the natural heir to Broony if we decide to go to a more creative attacking mould in midfield.
    Also possible future captain material.

He should have always been played through the middle as he we bought him for his performances as a central player.
Given a sustained run of games, i think he will shine.

Perfect for the centre of the park. Always on the move, can be dangerous going forwards and today showed good very good ability defensively.

Him and McGregor should be starting, with someone defensive behind them.

Roberts had a fantastic half but I thought Armstrong, over the 90, was the best player on the pitch.

He was everywhere and kept getting forward, making things happen. Great to see him in the centre.

He's a different player when he's not out wide. Linked up a lot of our play tonight. Hopefully he gets more time in that position.

Makes some good runs and is much better in the middle, can see he's bursting a gut both way's..

Thought his quality in the final third was poor, and his corners absolutely diabolical..

Playing well so far this season, pleasantly surprised and I'm happy to eat humble pie if he keeps it up.

Both him and McGregor make some really intelligent runs at the right times.

Good stuff, keep it up Stretch.

Good to see Stu pot getting some recognition. I spent most of last season defending him when he was played in a position that did not suit him. If he's used properly he is a good player.

Superb display. That positions suits him to a tee. Should start every game in there. Back and forward for full 90 mins. Makes runs into the box that cause problems for the opposition. Him and McGregor work so well together. Theu both suit what the manager likes for his centre midfielders.

Just ashame brown is captain and will probably stay in this side as would be great to bring im a player with real defensive and passing ability to play behind mcgregor and armstrong

wasnt impressed with his corners, but I think that he has a bit of quality in his all round play. has been one of the better performers in this pre season thus far.

He was * excellent tonight, that's what I expect from him playing in the middle. His positioning, passing and decision making was brilliant.

Just wish we took him off of corners though.
