You would play Brown wide right ? I wonder what any sane Celtic man thinks of that idea for Sunday

Since he knowingly has played that sort of role previous, offers an attacking option, then yes, over the idea of playing Matthews there in this fixture - I'd assume nearly all CELTIC fans will agree to that.

A holding midfielder .. An box to box midfielder ... Now an attacking right midfielder .. Aye I remember him playing there.. I remember him being berated as ineffective too .. Matthews like Brown is a utility player .. He has also played the position ... Why the caps do you think only real CELTIC fans can agree with you ?

I would play Forrest on the right, his pace would murder their defence. He didnt play against Ross County probably because he wasnt fit but maybe Ronny didnt want to risk him and is keeping him fit for the sevco game.

For your sanity, I hope you aren't alone. But really, it's a diddy club in division one we are playing. No need to cover the full back position with another full back.

If we were struggling to have to play Ambrose there - I could understand. But even that potential idea is flawed because we could just use Matthews instead of Ambrose.
They will offer heehaw in the way of a threat to us. Think of the Motherwell game the other week. Tha't the sort of team we are coming up against. They will play everyone in their own half, leaving someone like Boyd up 'front' himself. On the odd chance they get the ball to a player who has a second to think about a forward playing pass, it will be a lumped ball up to Boyd. Who is simply, *.

Our biggest worry is the abuse our players are going to have to endure from that mob. The elbows, kicking, two footed slides, will all play a bigger part in the game.

If we get the early goal - we need high tempo and just rattle the * out of them - then we will go on to score 5+.
But as with a few games this season, if we don't look sharp in front of goal - more to do with having to play through their whole team - then it will be a long drawn out 1-0/2-0 win. Which will flatter them.

I don't disagree with any of this .. I agree too that Forrest could be the answer with his pace .. But do we take a chance on his fitness & let him start the game ? I don't know that is what RD is paid for. They haven't played in three weeks but they will come out snarling .. Matthews has OF experience & in my mind must start but I am also a big fan of Lustig. As long as we get the chance to play football ( on a usually * pitch) we'll beat them with plenty to spare I agree .. I predict by the end they will be a ragged * bunch & players like Forrest could come on and have a field day.

IF anyone else understands the point & wants to give an explanation of the context I used the Morton example vs the Alloa example feel free I can't be arsed with someone who is just unable to grasp a simple point

Commons/Griffiths will play on the right and drift infield giving an extra body through the middle and allowing us to truly dominate the midfield, suspect Sevco will be tricky to unlock if they sit in two banks though so we'll need an overlapping full back to provide width. Wouldn't be very effective playing matthews in front of lustig simply because he'd try to make the same runs and they'd cancel one another out. Even if they do break quickly through someone like Wallace, they don't have the pace in midfield or up front to get on the end of a break. The only way they'd score is from a set play
