Polish national team goalkeeper-Artur Boruc- is now in Glasgow, where he probably
(today) sign a contract with Celtic.

after sign, he`ll move to London, where Celtic have training camp.
He will play at Parkhead for 650 tys.pounds(one year deal with option make it longer).
Pole will replace Robert Douglas and fight with David Marshall for be in starting 11.


For Na 99% I am already player of Celtic- says Boruc

Artur Boruc will be 4 new player buy by new menager of Celtic-Gordon Strachan.
They already sign Jeremie Aladiere, "Mo" Camara oraz Maciej Żurawski.

Hi, I just wanna ask a question to our Polish friends. Is he any better than Dudek? He better be coz in my opinion Dudek is * - and he's only number 2 to him?

I'd say he's far more consistant than Dudek. Of course just less experienced. The reason he's no 2 is because Dudek plays in a great club and hasn't had such blunders for Poland as in Liverpool. But if Dudek will sit on Liverpool's bench because of Reina and Artur will become no1 at Celtic, he should take over.

Regicfc - in Poland most of people think that Dudek is the best etc. etc. 'coz he plays in Liverpool.He had terrible mistakes but he is ok.Boruc had one mistake in this season (in 90 min, Legia missed penalty and he had a goal kick.Boruc passed to attackers from goal kick and they scored) but when Legia had a bad time he won matchs for us (he can defende in unbelieveble situations).I think that Boruc is better than Dudek but Artur hasn't any international experience.

Artur Boruc - the best Polish League goalkeeper.
After few years he will be one of the best goalkeepers in Europe.

will i look at the many mistakes douglas made for us against rangers and plenty other games so give the bhoy a chance with magic and artur there it the polish invasion like the swedish 1 we had but on the polish keeper is a lot better

well, IMO Dudek is no *.. considering constant pressure from the press, Carson and Kirkland, he performed well. He's lot better than they say..

As for Artur, all he needs is some experience and big games, coz the guy has talent, no doubt. reason he was no. 2 after Dudek is only the lack of international experience, but comparing the two, Boruc is far better than Dudek was at his age. Cant wait to see him develop into top class goalie ...

Artur's delight at Celtic move Newsroom Staff

ARTUR Boruc has three targets he wants to fulfil in his Celtic career.

Speaking today as he was officially unveiled as Gordon Strachan’s latest signing, the Polish goalkeeper was clearly delighted at the move which sees him join the club for a year-long loan.

Celtic also have an exclusive first option to sign Boruc for a longer period of time. And the former Legia Warsaw keeper explained why he was so pleased to sign for the Hoops.

“I’ve got three very important things I want to do here at Celtic,” he said. “It’s a big club and hopefully we can play in the Champions League. It’s also a big chance for me to become the number one goalkeeper for the Polish national team. If I’m playing here and if Jerzy Dudek has any problems at Liverpool then I would like to become the number one goalkeeper. Also, I want to play in front of the Celtic supporters.

“It’s a big club, a great club and I’m glad I’m here. I remember seeing the Celtic game, against Porto in Seville, and one thing I remember is the amount of supporters. They have great supporters and everybody knows that in Poland.”

Boruc will undoubtedly find the presence of fellow countryman Maciej Zurawski at Celtic something which will help him settle quickly into his new surroundings.

“We’re both from Poland, we’ve played together in the national team and know each other really well, so he will be a help,” Doruc explained.

Celtic Chief Executive Peter Lawwell said: “Artur was actually someone who was in Gordon Strachan’s mind for months, even before he joined Celtic so he was on our list and we’re absolutely delighted that he’s agreed to join us.

“I know Artur’s thrilled to be able to come and play for a club like Celtic, to hopefully play in the Champions League and take us on to hopefully regain the title. He’s very focused and delighted to be here.

“We’ve also got David Marshall here, who’s an excellent goalkeeper and who we have very high hopes for, so it’s going to be an interesting battle to see who gets the number one spot, but clearly Artur knows what Celtic is all about, he’s thrilled and he’d probably want to stay here a lot longer.

“We’ve got an exclusive option to buy Artur and it’s the way many deals are done. You’ll see that there are not many deals being done in football, particularly in Scotland.

“We’re the only team that’s spent money significantly in this close season – I don’t think that should be forgotten. If things work out (with Artur), we’ve agreed the fee and we’ll take the option.”

At the age 25 (1995) Dudek was no.1 in Feyenoord and next season won dutch c'ship. We'll see if Borud win Scottish c'ship

Yes, it shows how polish mates overrate Boruc saying that he is better than Dudek in his age.
But everything can happen this season

This is not actually the best place to express doubts about Celtic regaining his title. Personally, I think guys from ff will be more than happy to have such deeply intellectual posts on their messageboard.
