Just on the 'net having a flick and it has reports in a few of the Liverpool 'papers that Celtic are going in for McFadden in January. Happy days! Might get a swap on for Gravesen. Any thoughts?

Well if we could get Graveson off our books then great but if it is a straight cash deal i'm not so happy. Where would we play him? He has no position.

The 4-5 million it would take to get him would be much better spent on other areas of the team.

There is a Difference between Likely and him signing ..Personally i think he would be good , but on the whole we need to strenghthen the defence first

I agree - 2 full backs for starters before another luxury player - Riordan, Naka, Massimo...............

If we could swap from gravenson, would be grand but to pY bout 5mil+ would be a waste, where to play him and who to take out

Pretty much the only scenario id take him. Good player, but the money needs to be spent in other areas more urgently.

It's very possible but we need two full backs first.

Dunno, just because he is the man of the moment we will now be linked with him every week.

I could see him playing Naka's role-a left footed skilled ball player on the right with a * of a shot. I think we could use him. We are lacking width. Is see him as a wide (although not much pace) or a 'hole' player. He is never a striker though. Cant see both him and wee Shaun coming in January unless Naka is shipping out.

I think that Gravesen would be used as a make-weight in the deal. As much as we need to shore up the defence (pacy wing-backs, ala McNamara and McKinley please!), we need a flair player who scores goals. He's a Celtic man who rises to the occasion when called on. What bigger occasion is there than playing for the club you support in Europe? Naka has been pretty redundant this season and is nearing 30; why should we be expected to make do with only one £4 m player a season? The wages were cut right back and for all the money the club takes in off us, not much seems to go back out. Sign him asap!

£4m would be a great deal. Moyes doesn't seem to like him too much either, no matter how well he does as a sub, he will just put him on the bench again the next week. One of the main reasons behind Scotlands superb Euro2008 qualifying. I'd have him here.

We need at least one player in defence with abit of quality i would like to see us sign a vertical player in January, it would be good for the defence if we suffered any injurys specialy for RB & LB.

I would love to see McFadden come to Celtic, he is a great player and a finisher (can you just imagine McDonald & McFadden up front) :84: but i wouldint like to see us pay more than 4.5M on him, but anyways as i said before we need at least 2 new players in for january, also maybe 2 or 3 out as well may be, Balde, Zurawski, could see Riordan leaving in January for a deffanatly if someone comes in for the lad that is.
