I could easily counter that people who let the board and our manager away with mediocrity are what is wrong with our club but i wont.

Our football budget is probably greater than the combined budget of the other 11 clubs. So it is absolutely unacceptable to be in a title race considering this.

For the record, that fact about our budget has not been checked so the usual suspects can stop before they go into wan. It might be true but the point is to empathise the gulf in finance between us and the rest.

I don't let the board away with * all, infact I was one of the most vocal at the start of the season when they never spent much money.

As for the manager being mediocre, if being in 4 competitions after Christmas is mediocrity then I'll take mediocrity every year.

Yes. Not sure if you thought that was directed at you there but it wasn't.

Show me one post that gives you that impression.

I'm off to work now so you have about 6 hours to find it. That should give you enough time to realise you are talking out of your *, again.

I actually agree with Sean here.

No one should be complaining about our current position

think the way our fans see the formation is wrong in my book

4231 if you model it like other big clubs then the 3 in behind the striker are attacking midfielders rather than wingers

i think that the way we seem to play the formation makes the fans think that the wide men in the 3 are wingers

i have desperately been wanting stokes and whoever plays on the right, between tonev and forrest to play a lot narrower i want these guys attacking inside the fullback and between the centre half and the full back our wing back on the other hand can take on their full back on the outside

for me its the am job to be quite close to the central striker like inside from the corners of the 18 yard line old inside left and inside right positions

for me the cross comes in early from the attacking midfielder right or left preferably on the deck or its left to izzy or mathews to get round their fullbacks to get a cross in to the centre and we should have 3 attacking mids and 1 striker in the middle for it

I agree 100%. We should also have 2 holding players to play this way. Currently we have none and our inside forwards are too wide meaning our full backs are cutting in at times.

Personally I haven't saw a single person complain about being top of the league, in two cups and in Europe beyond Christmas. If you can show who has 'definitely' complained about it I'll concede the point :50:

Neither have I and I've just read the entire thread. I've seen plenty of people saying we should be playing in a more adventurous style domestically, but that's it really.

Anyone remember the game against Kilmarnock at home in October, when Deila played Guidetti and Scepovic as a two?

We only won two nil but the entertainment was fantastic. Goal mouth scrambles. We could put the ball in early and if the 1st forward didn’t get it the second was on hand to give the defence problems. A bit like old style MON percentages game. With this type of play we can at least mix it up. But for poor finishing we could have scored 10 goals.

Next match against PT at home in the LC we played 1 up front. Felt cheated as the 1st half hour was the dullest I’ve ever seen at CP. Guidetti scored from a set piece, the only way we would have scored. They had a man sent off which meant we didn’t need the 5th midfielder (* really?). He sent on Griffiths and we scored 5 goals in the 1st 25 minutes of the 2nd half. After the match I thought to myself, if he kept with 1 up and 5 deep midfielders, we would probably have held on for a 1-0, which low and behold was exactly the case a few weeks later against PT in the league this time.

RD is guilty of nothing more than knowing nothing about Scottish Football. We don’t need to win a midfield battle. All MF battles are conceded to Celtic, when the all opposition concentrate on defence and counter attack.

We most certainly need to win the midfield battle, that's one of our biggest problems just. It's not 5 deep midfielders either, our two central midfielders are always outnumbered in there, something thay has got a wee bit better since Johansen started playing the Commons role.

That's a mental thing to say. I think that failing to control the midfield is often the main reason that we can struggle against certain teams.
