    Many on here will probably not remember the hype surrounding Episode I when it was in production, the long awaited and much desired that people were buying tickets to go see movies, just to see the trailer then walking out. 'Meet Joe Black' was completely selling out to near empty theatres, haha!

    Well, as we all know how that turned out - the utter disbelief at how crap it truly was. I sincerely hope the new film does live up to the hype this time and that it is justified return to form, after what an abomination the prequel trilogy turned out to be.

    An improvement on that series of films is the bare minimum of reasonable expectations, but talk of being 'the best of the lot' has echoes of exactly how many of those of a certain vintage once were uttering with equal confidence in 1998/99 before Phantom Menace was released.

    I wasnt a fan of Star Wars at the time but it was hard to escape, I was in P1 at the time and the marketing was huge every bar of chocolate and all the sweeties had Star Was on it. I remember getting chubba chupps lollies with C3-PO on them.

    Still glad I watched the originals and Ive never seen the prequels, I have a strange pride in being totally Ignorant to them :smiley-laughing002:

    The cast has been revealed for Star Wars Anthology: Rogue One. This is coming out next year and it's set between episodes 3 and 4. 'Rebels set out on a mission to steal the plans for the Death Star.'

    Excited for the trailer tomorrow. Hoping it continues in the same way as first one and barely gives anything away.

    Rumour is Kylo Ren is actually Luke- hence why his new lighstaber is designed to prevent his hand from being cut off, and the Adam driver is just a red herring to prevent spoilers.

    They never appealed to me, but I watched them last year and they're far better than the new 3. I do really like Episode III though I have to admit.

    Edit: Just realised you meant you haven't seen the new 3 :smiley-laughing002:

    :smiley-laughing002: Wasnt keen on watching a trilogy of films that didnt have the characters I loved from the original.

    Wonder how in this new one they'll explain why the force ghosts are not around, Alec Guinness is dead and I think the guy that played Anakin at the end of ROTJ is dead too. The only one that could appear is yoda
