U2 used to be one of the best bands in the World. Now they are mass produced * with an ageing front man that thinks he is holier than thou and, by all accounts, is now shocking live.

    Lulu was Scottish, eh?

Calvin Harris and Gerry Rafferty don't come close to the unrepentant Gary Og.

Traditional, Folk and rebel Ireland win
U2, boyzone and westlife Ireland lose.

    Tough question.

Folk music first. Sadly Irish mainstream folk music is pretty much ruined for me. All the performers seem to sing the same song. They even ruined the Scottish folk song Wild Rover. I don't think anyone actually knows that's a Scottish song :D

There's a lot of great non mainstream Scottish folk music out there. Bands like Daimh, Wolfstone, Peatbog Faeries. Maybe more folk rock tbh. Of course Scotland has the folk rock giants Runrig who have some great songs.

I'm going Scotland for folky music.

Pop music is easily Ireland. Can't think of any Scottish pop bands tbh.

    Rock is Scotland.

Metal. Alestorm is about the only band I know from Scotland and i know none from Ireland.

Scotland is also the home of hardcore :)

So... Genetic pish - Ireland. Originality - Scotland.

Hardwell isn't even in the same stratosphere.

Calvin Harris earns more, produces more hits and sells out more shows. By no yard stick is any DJ better than Harris other than personal preference.

U2 have resorted to forcing Apple users to listen to their latest album. They have become a joke act.
