tbh, I think row 'Z' would be a lot more dangerous the way we shoot.

Defence looked all over the place at times tonight.

We're through and that's the important thing. It allows us to bring Guidetti in for the next round and hopefully have everyone else fit.

We blew it after 12 mins, we were the better team by far once we scored and should of at least equalised, in the end pushing for the goal we were left exposed at the back of an already fragile looking defence. Salzburg are an excellent footballing side and we outplayed them for the majority of the match so that's a positive. Last 32 with Denayer, Lustig, Guidetti fit I feel confident.

Beaten by the far, far better side. Really need to splash some cash in January.

It doesn't need to be megabucks either, a good few players in that Salzburg team (dare I say all of them?) would improve us and I highly doubt any would be out of our price range.

That Kampl was a class above anything else on the pitch, surely we could get him for <5 million and no more than 20k a week.

Doesn't it draw us against the winners of other groups? Thought that in the last 32 other CL drop outs play each other? Not sure tho

Decided to take the foot of the gas?

Hmmm, that doesn't happen very often in football matches?
Quite extraordinally I would say! :smiley-laughing002:

We're in the 32s, and who knows what will happen next.

    Well, that was pish.

That team were not as good as some people on here seem to think they are. Twice we've played them and twice they've been ok. Got the better of us first half when both teams probably tried to go for it from the off. A lucky break for their first goal and their second came from a foul throw. That makes me feel better :D

Guidetti, Lustig, Denayer, Forrest and hopefully a couple of new faces all for the next stage.

If we win in Zagreb that's 11 points. Everyone would have taken that before a ball was kicked.

Delia is a lucky manager. Astra's win ensures we're through to the knockouts which will no doubt take the focus off our shocking result, but tonight's performance was mince.

Celtic's football, with the odd exception, is turgid. We really do lack any invention going forward and our defence continues to be porous.

Hopefully the addition of Guidetti (assuming he's still here) makes a difference in the knockouts, as if performances don't improve and we face a decent group winner, I fear for us.

It's either a group winner or a champions league team I think.

We are lacking big time , but with gudetti in now will help us a bit , was impressed by the running of Johansen and Griffiths , although his first touch was poor tonight , vary disappointed by stokes , he is to slow in tight situations not the quickest of feet , commons should have started , and rested after 60 for forrest , man of the match was broony and izzy.

We were not great tonight but i don't think we were poor either. Will be a better side with players back from injury and Guidetti eligible.

well that was a kick in the balls after that very good 2nd half they just suckerpuched us at the end i wonder if their substitutes were for that very thing to grab the goal and kill us off happens so often against celtic at celtic park in european competitions teams get goals at the end of the game
thats obviously a lot to do with tiredness
our teams in scotland are absolutely knackered come end of game especially vulnerable to passing moves in the final third think theres a lesson to be learned there

that 2nd half for me was the best performance by us this season against a very decent side for long spells we hemmed them back and and went at them again and again should definately have got an equaliser and feel we deserved a draw overall

better things to come with ronnie at the help he wants us to not be afraid he wants us to stand up against teams and that i look forward to
