the fact he's having to come out yet again defending his right not to wear the poppy says it all.

Some people really don't understand his reason or they ignore it.

His reasons are sound to me and have to respect someone who sticks to their principles. I also don't wear a poppy and when they come round selling them at work and I politely refuse but still people look at you as if you just punted a newborn baby out a window.

    Fair enough, good letter.

Shame anyone has to say why their not wearing a poppy. It is getting more and more ridiculous each year. If you want to wear one then do but don't ram it onto others.

I actually did a quick search today and while he has had to put up with some amount of * There were actually a good few supporters of English teams that said they fully supported his courage and personal convictions and most importantly his right to choose whether to wear a Poppy or not.

Very true.I think a lot (and rightly so) respect his decision.
Unfortunately,it's like a red rag to a bull with idiots like this Lachey who can pass their time with minute by minute tweets on James' 'vile' behaviour.gives the * something to do I suppose

Sickening that he has to explain himself to the Poppy fascists.

He also could of added that here in the 6 counties that the UVF/UDA have also claimed the poppy to remember their dead.
