The Fear from the drink

Anyone get the fear after drinking ? Feeling ashamed for nothing, or bad text messages etc

 

Anyone who drinks alcohol deserves this

Only had it bad twice. Once in Cancun, honestly thought i was dying. Felt like everytime i tried to sleep i couldn't breathe lol.

 

Yup. It's awful

 

I've heard before that it has something to do with your body developing a dependence on alcohol. After a heavy session, the body thinks alcohol is an important part of its constitution, so when you stop, you experience a shock to the system.

Doctors tell alcoholics to wean themselves off drink, as opposed to just stopping right away, as it can be psychologically traumatic.

One of the best ways to circumnavigate The Fear is to have about 3-4 pints on a Monday night or Sunday if you're not going out. You'll sleep great and feel quite refreshed on Tues morning.

 

I dread each morning i wake up after a night on the *! Check my phone and facebook with fear to see what i have said or who i texted!

Waking up still half pished from the night before and deciding that a toastie will have to suffice for Breakie/dinner/tea is what sundays are all about, man.

Aye It's dreadful dunno how many times I've woke up and thought " what the * did i do last night ". Usually Its nothing bad but I always feel like I've done something terrible.

By far the worst is when you have the fear, start to relax and then and hour or two later realise/remember something awful from the night.

 

Nothing worse than Sunday evening/night fear. Actually started laying of the spirits as I feel they make me worse.

Did a Thursday - Sunday stag do in benidorm recently. Never ever had fear before. Thought it was a myth lol.
Come Sunday, I was in a pathetic state. Kept feeling I wanted to cry, didn't know why though. Was an emotional wreck. Nerves had been shot to *. And had the fear terrible.

 

I went to the hospital once with it. Couldn't breathe right and thought I was a goner.

 

Ahhh, that old feeling of impending doom.
