    Need to learn some
    http://www.theherald.co.uk/sport/41870.html

how reliable is this source? from my short time in the forum i've come to learn that the daily "ranger" is fairly unreliable, how's this rate?

as for kosowski...in my opinion, a huge talent that has never put it together. has all the tools, but no toolbox. however, had a very successful time together with zurawski in poland and in european competition (he's the provider of many assists in the zurawski videos circling the internet). i'm not sure he's worth 1 mil at the moment, but if he ever played anywhere close to his vast potential, he'd be worth much much more.

another positive would be that he would help zurawski settle in at celtic park. at the moment, i'm still trying to familiarize myself more with the celtic squad. what's the situation like in left midfield, as kosowski is primarily a left midfield player, although he does play right mid for the national team, as krzynowek's name is written in stone on the left side.

has anyone heard anything else about this rumour?

fairly good newspaper, the herald is, so maybe reliable...however, it is a newspaper and i dont know how you guys rate newspapers in Poland, but many of them tell false facts, but most times they don't lie...like i said, its a fairly reliable source...as for left midfield, many Celticx fans believe thats a position needed to be strengthened.

Kossowski and Zurawski made a perfect pair in UEFA cup of 2002/2003 season. "Kosa" was good in his counter attack raids and cross-passes to midfield penalty area where "Zuraw" ruled, finishing the job.

IMO there's no comparison between Zurawski and Kosowski. Zurawski is reliable striker, though maybe not self-confident too much as far as personality goes. I hope Celtic's supporters will give him a warm welcome to make him feel at home and overcome this modesty. With more of "whole world, you can ki$$ my a$$" attitude he could be bigger than Larsson [IMG]. Also I think that physical styled SPL will do him good.

Kosowski as talented as he is (he is very fast with good inititial accelaration) lacks the well-balanced spirit in my opinion, and definitely is not a tough predator (like Krzynowek). Only recently in our national team Kosowski began thinking more creatively about his role - switching sides with Krzynowek and so on. Before he seemed to me "a one trick pony" with his predictable, after some time spent on game analysis, raid and cross pass from the left.

BTW time when Wisla drowned Parma, was exactly the same time when Sutton and Larsson drowned Blackburn [IMG] Do you remember tims?

The Herald isn't a bad newspaper, but you hear so many rumours that you never know what to believe. We have a number of players who can play out on the left wing, but injury, lack of form and perhaps youth caused a few problems last season. I can see the logic in recruiting another Polish player though. Heck, if they're good enough I can see the logic in recruiting lots of Polish players!

Kosa - my favourite player. Team leader. Warrior. At least he was in Wisla.

Yeah, at least he was...[IMG]He's not bad either in K'lautern but not just as effective in comparison to Wisla's best days.

    BTW

Are you the same macel whom I know from the FR?

    Hello everobody there!
My first appearance on the Celtic field - I guess it's due to the fact that there's Polish player back in the team (or at least he's supposed to be).
As for Kosowski - some of my compatriots said: he's got the pace, he can deliver crossing balls and definitely he'd play well together with Zurawski. What is to be afraid of is the lack of defesive attitude. He's not the type of player to circulate between both penalty boxes for full 90 minutes. Not the greatest tackling so far (no such demands in Wisla), but on the other hand he is very ambitious and given his share of time he'd get used to the Scottish football pretty qiuckly IMHO.

thompson is on the left for celtic. i seem to think my fellow supporters are forgetting how good he has been for us, ok he hadn't the greatest of seasons last year but, chris sutton had one bad year for chelsea and everyone down in england changed their opinion of him which was well off the mark. thompson will be better than ever next year.

The Herald is a good source, they never seem to deal in speculation unlike the Daily Ranger or the Hun. Like the fact that WGS is targetting good acomplished internationals, the Polish national team are far better than Scotland. Going for Polish players seems to be an economical choice, lets be honest most internationals cost an arm and a leg, and if we can pick theses guys up relatively cheaply, I'm all for it. Should provide competition for Thommo, would like to see increased competition throughout the squad, MON was too loyal to certain players.

As for "Kosa" ... Loved or hated - he always says what he thinks no matter whom he addresses. He's a bit crazy, enjoys life (sometimes too much ...). Divorced and chased by his greedy, ex-wife. He's got a son, Aleksander and is mad about him.

A great talent, very creative. For Poland he plays on both wings but feels better on the left. A completely different person than Zurawski - journalists have wondered many times how it is possible they are such good friends. Like Fire and Water. But they even spend holidays together (with Maciek's wife and Kamil's son).

Wisla's excellent performances in Europe finished when he had left. Later nobody else was able to serve Maciek as well as Kamil. Then Maciek started to serve the others (24 assists this year altogether ).

I wish you could see Maciej's goal against England after a brilliant Kamil's pass. Delicious :84:

Yeah, he passed the ball between Terry's legs (don't know if you have expression for this in English, in Polish it's "putting a net"/"setting up a net"...oh, whatever ;) )

Kosowski's transfer to Glasgow would be super. He and Zurawski worked together perfectly during Wisla's matches with Saragossa, Parma, Schalke and Lazio in season 2002/03. Kosowski has a great potential (perhaps even greater than our best left winger Jacek Krzynowek of Bayer Leverkusen) and, in my opinion, his biggest problem is a lack of serious targets. Kaiserslautern is the worst place he could've moved to from Wisla. He needs matches in CL or at least in UEFA Cup to burst open - and I'm sure he will if Celtic buys him. Though I'd rather like him back in Wisla:)

I think its just a speculation, and Kosowski will NOT play for Celtic.

Because current Kosowski's quality are not enough for 2nd poland division :p He's very poor player... Like Forrest Gump - run Forrest, run :D. He's not to more intelligent player, very bad in defense & devoid of ball ctrl. All him pasess/crosses/shoots fly into the sky. The last good game he played 3 years ago... I serious don't understand why Janas still brought him into Poland squad.

btw. I would forget - It's great fighter... only for money from the club :p

kosowski is talented too.. but he is always a big mystery, he can play great game or weak one, u just never know

with zurawski there is no such problem
even if he dont score goals he usually get assists or at least work in midfield and win important balls there
inteligent player with vision id say ;)

its true 'zuraw' and 'kosa' worked together very well in UEFA cup against such teams as parma - not this weak parma from last season, but top serie A team it used to be - [1:2 away (zuraw) and 4:1home (zuraw x2 and kosa x1)]; shalke04 [1:1 away and 4:1home (zuraw x2 and kosa x1 again)]; lazio [3:3 away (zuraw x2) and 1:2home]
they surely know how to play together, but - imho - kosowski would have big trouble to play in 1st team on desired level in every single game (and he need many games to keep his form up)
he surely is very interesting player, talented, but need stabilization
