If you look back that's always been my opinion.

Griffiths didn't score and Guidetti did...

You're really only as good as your last match on this forum. Except for Stokes :smiley-laughing002:

I still don't think we should sign him.

I'm not convinced that Deila is going to do something with Guidetti in July that he's somehow been unable to do over the past 6 months.

Still unconvinced. He undoubtedly has ability, but he is very slow and strikes me as being a bit of a divisive character.

I think all the talk about other clubs and the talks breaking down here has effected him, don't think it's any coincedence that's when his form dropped. Seems to be the type of character who needs to be loved and focus on what he's got in front of him.

A long term contract and no distractions is exactly what he needs IMO.

It's his own fault things started to turn sour. He shouldn't be talking about other clubs while he's under contract. He WAS loved almost universally amongst the Celtic support until he started running his mouth about Feyenoord.

It started just before then, when the talks went sour in November/December, his form dipped then he started answering questions about other clubs. He was always respectful about us though, that's what people ignore. I've no doubt he has agents around him, drumming up interest and media around him. It's turned his head from the football.

I get what you're saying, it's not professional but we've seen it before even with very level headed players like Shaun Maloney when he moved to Villa.

I think a Guidetti focused on his football is something that we would be stupid not to pursue.

Honestly have no doubt he'd be a success here if he's given a long term contract and has no distractions.

I agree with this completely. I think he let his head go elsewhere when there was rumours of other clubs being interested in him. He should have been fully focused on playing for us, and doing as well as he possibly could for us. I've never seen a player strike up such a connection with the fans after so little playing time than Guidetti, but that changed after his attitude changed. It was extremely unprofessional from him, and I'm honestly not bothered now if we sign him or not. I would be happy enough with his signature, but I wouldn't be too fussed if he moved on.

Just watched the team warming up there. Guidetti, Ambrose and Scepovic all standing with their hands in their pockets. Guidetti had the cheek to sit on the ball for a few minutes. Obviously too good to practice. GMS and Tierney meanwhile practice short passes. Just a small thing but quite annoying to see.

Just showed the team warming up on TV there and Guidetti was clearly part of it.
