Because he's scored more goals in one game than Guidetti has in 3 months, I'd imagine.

why where has he proven this? "british leagues" plural, has he scored goals for city or stoke?

Yes hes scored a few in holland but weve seen some complete and utter duds score plenty there.

Hes started off well here but has went completely off the boil.

Aye because one guy disproves everything. Like or not, no Scottish striker has proven themselves as a quality striker in European football in a long, long time.

As for what that other guy was saying, Guidetti has scored goals in two very different climates of football: Scotland and Holland. The style in the SPL and League One/Championship where Griffiths has played doesn't alter anything like those, so for that reason I favour Guidetti on the European stage, which is a different style altogether.

But, if Griffiths does play tonight- good. I was a * to him in the past, but by * he'll have my full support tonight. Even if he doesn't score, a good performance will more than do. Basically, * the arguing, come on Celtic.

Why do people rate scoring goals in Holland so much, you just have to look at the likes of Finnbogasson, Alves, Altidore.....

I like Guidetti but at this moment in time Griffiths brings more to the team and is playing with confidence, he deserves to start tonight.

The point is be a good scorer in Holland doesn't automatically make you a great goal scorer. Van Persie and Henrik were better goal scorers after they left Holland, were as the some of the other players mentioned scored lots in Holland but it didn't transfer to other leagues.

BTW Rivaldo never played in Holland.

Can't think of many Norwegian midfielders doing much either. Looks like we'll have to leave out Johansen :54:

And yea, the standard of defending in Holland is * poor, scoring goals in that league certainly doesn't make you a decent striker

Doesn't make you a bad one either :50:

We didn't have any striker that could score against Ajax last year.

Im glad to see LG get the nod before JG. although he is good to have as an option from the bench.

From his latest interview, it seems like he has no intention of staying so for that fact alone if he doesn't want to be with us when we clearly want him, he can sit on the bench for all i care

That was a cracker of a finish!!! Hopefully now this will prove the catalyst to see him back banging them in for the rest of the season.
