Like how his maw puts all the blame on the car driver, when he was travelling at just under 100mph.

Except she doesn't... she acknowledges that fault lay on both sides and authorised the release of the video to highlight the dangers of excessive speed and careless driving.

Probably was not expecting the bike to get there in a split second.

    Crazy video

If the dude on the bike was not driving like a * clown he would probably still be alive.

    Hardly helpless...

I appreciate the bike was riding at just under the ton, but it was a long stretch of straight clear road and the biker had his lights on. The car driver should have seen the bike coming.

My understanding is that the car driver was prosecuted (successfully) for careless driving.

Had the biker survived, then he (the biker) would have been looking at a dangerous driving charge.

    Both at fault.

And had the dude in the car used his * eyes, then the biker would probably have still been alive.

Well, if he can't judge a 5' x 3' object with a headlight on travelling straight towards him, then he clearly shouldn't be allowed on the roads!

Both dudes to blame here... and the Courts seem to agree with me!

The driver in the car is a fud for thinking he could make that. Of course the biker shouldn't have been travelling at that speed but * *, the driver is a clown.

It's a bad move by the driver but the fault lies with the speed that the guy on the bike was doing. They don't call it breakneck speed for nothing.

Yes, the courts usually are the best way to judge these things as they're presented with ALL the facts... not just a snippet of camera footage and some white-van-man opinion!

And yes, the bikes headlight was on.

And don't just take the Courts word for it - the driver ADMITTED his culpability and got a 12 months community sentence and an 18 month driving ban. He was also ordered to pay £200 costs with a £60 surcharge and do 130 hours unpaid work.

Ch Insp Spinks added: "We know from the footage that David was travelling up to 100mph. Regardless of the speed of the bike, the car manoeuvre should not have been attempted.
