    Can't stand people using them seriously but I use them ironically on occasion.

    LOL has its ironic uses LOL but YOLO is a hanging offence.

    lol can be used in texts just to let the person your jokingg but YOLO is just for stupid people to have a point for wasting their life in fact its rather ironic

    You ask them why they waste all theyre money on drinkibng ect and they answer YOLO

    "Lol" is fine, it's used in text speak to show that you are laughing/joking. The */*/Roflmao and the likes are just taking the * *.

    "Yolo" on the other hand is just pure laziness. Btw, IMO, IIRC, YOLO, and it's ilk bug the * out of me.
    There is a time and a place for abbreviated words and/or phrases, and in the middle of a long worded paragraph is not the time.

    Lol is not acceptable. If you want to show you're joking, you can convey without using 'lol'. Say 'haha', for * sake.

    I frequently use both with no shame whatsoever. Seriously ppl, no jkz, you do only live once so make the most of it and let your hair down lol. I live by the YOLO code.
