straight after scepovic signed for <S>#</S>celtic, lawwell split his coffee on the fax machine. Weird, it was like he meant to do it.

 

Naw, just after we signed Scepovic and just as we were about to submit the paperwork for Guidetti, big Pete 'accidentally' knocked the paperwork off the desk and it fell into the paper shredder. No evidence of the contract or nothing and it was too late to get done. So unfortunate.

 

Safe to say we tried...

 

Seems the official line is we couldn't get the last of the paperwork out of the way, and apparently the SFA may be able to appeal on our behalf. When I first heard this, I felt quite relieved and optimistic about the deal potentially going through tomorrow, but, taking a closer look, it really is hard not to conclude that our board pulled out at the last minute.

Let's look at the facts:

1) Guidetti's been in Glasgow most of the evening; surely that's plenty time to tie up loan paperwork, in the digital world we live in?

2) We'd just confirmed the Scepovic transfer when the media started to report that the Guidetti deal had fallen through.

3) He's available on a Bosman deal this January. We'll have had the Europa League TV money, etc by then.

Seems all too likely that our board have gotten their man (Scepovic), bricked it at the idea of adding to the wage bill twice in one day, and essentially said 'ah well, we can try and get him free in January, and if we don't, it doesn't matter'. Would be entirely in line with the kind of complacency they've displayed over the last year or two.

 

Been hee haw transfers in Scotland. The SFA would have had * all to do at this time of night.

We have * it. I know this was too good to be true.

This signing had cheered me up,but now gutted,typical off the way our seasons went so far TBH.

So what's to stop this guy getting his contract released from Man City and then picking which club to go to,this deal was off as soon as we signed Scepovic it was just dragged along until the window shut

 

From what I've been reading, he won't be able to play till January anyway, because you have to be a free agent before the transfer deadline- so even if he terminates his contract tomorrow with City what's the point in signing him, as he wont be able to play.

That might not be the case thou, but I think it's right.

Isn't that just for English Premier League teams, because they have to register a squad of 25 for that league?

Well that is just plain * had a feeling it would be to good to be true its a shame aswell this guy is very good and could of had a field day in the SPFL.
