    With the form Gordon is showing early doors if he can stay fit long term that could be one amazing piece of business done by Celtic.

    Atajic was out of contract and was released. He hasn't signed for anyone else yet that I know of. Jackson Irvine is still a Celtic player but was loaned out to Ross County.

    This would be a smart move I think. It is clear he will be sold sooner rather then later. So give him a nice pay raise and a new contract knowing it will only really be for one season anyway and then sell him for 10m in the summer. In the meatime that gives him every motivation and incentive to play at the level he was for us last season which we badly need him to be for us right now.

    Bit disappointed we didnt bring another permanent defender in to provide competition to VVD and Denayer and another LB. Quite happy with the attacking options but * off bringing Tonev in when he was injured, dont see the point in that.

    No, it wouldn't. I hope I am not missing the sarcasm , but that would be throwing £10k pw (£500,000 per annum) down the toilet.

    He is under contract until 2017 and, since we know he wants to leave, he is the last guy we should throw money at.

    It's been the same news all day.

    That's why the thread went off on a tangent, people getting bored and taking the mick.

    Situation is basically SPFL has approved it and they, together with the SFA are discussing the fine details of the transfer with FIFA. If Fifa allow it to go through he can play for us domestically, the chances of it going through seem to be pretty good as almost all of the negotiating was signed sealed and delivered before the window finished, meaning we have a good case of 'mitigating circumstances'.

    IF we do sign him however he won't be eligible for europe and we will have to launch ANOTHER appeal to UEFA that time to get him in the squad.

    Nothing has changed at all today and Celtic have said nothing, which, in my opinion is good news.

    Guidetti has also came out and spoke about the transfer as have 'sources' at the SFA so anyone moaning about Lawell * it up and pulling out because of Scepovic is wrong this time I'm afraid, from what it seems we done our part and City * up at their end.

    We DID try for the 2 strikers and might still get the other.

    Thanks weekend got most of that today throughweb and twitter. Hopefully we can get something done through FIFA. Ashame we didn't go for Guidetti sooner.

    As I said I see no reason for them to deny the transfer. He seems really keen as well so hopefully we can hear something in the coming days.
