It only comes into effect for the group stages. The champions and the league winners from the highest ranked leagues will go into pot 1. I can't see them going ahead with it, would certainly ruffle some feathers though.

Teams who win the top 7 leagues in Europe go into pot 1 with the current winners.

I don't think we will be a top 7 league though.

    Yeah.

They won the cup though, against Steaua (on penalties).

And the supercup, against Steaua (on penalties) :smiley-laughing002:

    Did you expect otherwise? :56:

It would be a minor miracle for another scottish team to qualify for the groups in Europe.

Well, i am a Salzburg supporter and what can i say..

I do think Celtic has a chance to beat Salzburg at home if our coach Hütter keeps doing random rotations for absolutely no reasons
(i assume he is the only one who knows what he is doing, for example: Hinteregger, our main central defender played as a left defender (*?)in Malmö, an other very young guy started in the line up and so on...horrible coaching!)

I do believe out of 10 games we would have beaten Malmö 8 or 9 times, but oh well, this is soccer!
In Salzburg we should have won atleast 5:1 or 6:2 instead we played 2:1.
away we deserved to get 0:1 behind, but the 0:2 was quite a lucky punch(great goal though) and Eriksson might shot the goal of his career.
0:3 was a counter attack when we put everything on one card, i would not look at the result of the game, it is simple not significant.

Wish you guys all the best, if you have any questions do not hesitate to ask!

We are probably in a worst state than you with our new manager, all our best players have left in the last 14 months and the new manager plays tactics that are wide open in defence.

i've noticed that, still, because of Hütter one of our best players (Mane) just left the team and we are falling apart as it seems. Celtic absolutely has a chance to win at home if Hütter keeps doing what he is doing right now.

Both should be tight games. Your attacking options are miles ahead of what we currently have to be honest and that Hintergerrer(sp) you mentioned seems to be highly rated.

Our best players are Kampl and Soriano! I'd say nowadays we have a goaltender problem too, Gulasci is absolutely out of form, our second central defender Ramalho(usually a great player) is out of from too...

My favourite player is Leitgeb, he is important to organize our midfield and game in general..

I think we have a good chance to win at home if we can stabilize our defence. In Glasgow i expect a tie, but who knows, Celtic might beats us...

Forster, Wilson, Wanyama, Ledley, Samaras and Hooper have all left Celtic, basically all our best players except Lustig, Forrest and Brown and the only signing as good as them has been Van Dijk, although Johansen is quite good too but not as good as Ledley. Other new players are still unproven.

We at the moment dont really know how good or bad we are as a lot of things have changed and 4/5 of the new signings(Denayer, Berget, Wakaso, Tonev and Scepovic) havent played yet or barely played.

ahh. cool. thanks for the quick summary. Well, atm it is unsure if Red Bull is going to switch some of the Salzburg Players to fellow team Red Bull leipzig. If they do, we are pretty much in trouble, that's for sure! (we still will be 1 in Austrian league, but oh well..)

to be honest, i only remember the Celtic team when you beat Barca some years ago so i can only take a look at the market value on transfermarkt.at
    http://www.transfermarkt.at/celtic-glasgow/startseite/verein/371

of course, the market value doesnt't tell all too much.. is Scott Brown the heart of your team?
