He always has been and always will be one of us, aye, he can babble on at times but which pundit doesn't, I usually find myself agreeing with Charlie on most things...but I'm probably biased.... he was one of my idols :icon_mrgreen:

Exactly. I wish it was him interviewing Lawwell on Friday, but it will be someone asking pre agreed questions.

yep, selling wanyama was the first sign that we had zero ambition and were looking to downsize. Replacing him with a 500k israeli from ashdod was the confirmation .

He has annoyed me at times, but brutally honest there and seemed very emotional with his response.

Charlie's been in the situation back in the 90's and has seen what happened back then,I don't usually listen to him on Sky Sports News but in the last few days he has spoken 100% truth about the way the club is currently being run by the Board and Lawwell and now something has to be done, the squad has too many mediocre players at best and it is time that some players either be sold or released by the club as they will never cut it here, when you look at the team of 2012 that made it to the last 16 of the Champions League that team now is a shadow of what it once was and a total embarrassment to date, a massive clear out is needed from top to bottom.

Oh, to have a young Charlie in the team last night, he would've ran that defence ragged...and put our current forwards to shame, not one of them has an ounce of the skill he possessed.

    I'm not picky.
Said it exactly like it is and he's exactly right and it's good to see that he's really having a go at the Board and not Deila here as well. We ARE miles away from what we were two years ago. Can you imagine if we did get through to the Groups and what teams of real quality would probably have done to us?! It would have made the 6-1 thrashing from Barcelona seem tame.

Deila has to get rid of the dregs that we seem to get every season and get quality players in. Instead of wasting money on buying these "players for the future" and "young, raw talents" (which we can develop through our Youth system like McGregor) bring in good, quality players.

I've said it a couple of times in other threads....we need quality, not quantity.
