The amount of money we have brought in over the last few years when compared to the money the huns have brought in since going bust/reforming is almost immeasurable. But with the complete lack of ambition and financial investment from our board, does anybody else think the board have looked at the situation and came to the conclusion that it's best for us/Scottish football to have Celtic and the huns constantly competing? We could have pulled ahead to the point where we just stormed to title after title, and had a budget that dwarfed every other club. Ten in a row seemed almost a cert not too long ago. Have we decided that an unchallenged ten in a row would be a bad thing and kill domestic interest in the league? Call it a conspiracy theory, but I think we have consciously chose to not get so far ahead of everybody else that we become impossible to catch.

Na, they're just tight *, they do the same every year.

Sell our best players, scrape through, then spend.

Big question...what are the main issues that slow the growth of Scottish football?

Is the dominance of Celtic and Rangers the main reason that we have this vacuum now? Clubs gave up competing long ago? Or did sectarianism fuel the success of both due to tribalism and nature of Scottish society?

Or, is it simply lack of investment or perception?

Celtic need to survive and if they take a hit this year then so be it. I want my club to exist. That is paramount.

Peter Lawell knows he is the man who always has to say no. Not an easy job. He also says yes a lot but we dont mention that. The club is healthy. The league and outside factors are not.

    Nope.

They just don't want to 'waste' money and show a bit of ambition to try and continue to take the club forward. We have to ignore what is happening with the rest of scotland and think about what is best for our club. Not spending money to improve the side and getting embarassed by average European sides is not the way to go about the situation. Us being in the champions league helps Scottish football as we all know.

Never been so angered and frustrated after returning from a game in my life. I didn't renew my season ticket this year because I had lost all excitement and interest halfway through last season. I thought the change was needed and was glad to see Deila come in, I still am confident he is the man for us. I thought for once we might actually see some investment and change in the running of the club with the new ideas he was bringing.

However how we can possibly go anywhere when those * refuse to back the guy I do not know. He is, as has been said from the beginning by many, a puppet and unfortunately that is probably the reason he was hired. Forget his forward thinking ideas.

Really don't know where we go from here. Deflated is not the word.

I've come to the conclusion, in fact I did a while ago, that this "stand alone" policy which Peter Lawwell was spouting back when the Huns went bust was all along just a tool to keep folk satisfied whilst in the background they've been penny pinching at every opportunity, counting the days down when this new mob are promoted and they can line their pockets even further. Reason for this? They know that in the long term they will get away with it, winning the league at a canter, the odd cup now and again. Folk will be happy with it unless they're pushed too far and react. Tonight should be the impetus for the support to make our voices heard and let the board know we're not very * happy.
