    -----------------------------------Gordon--------------------------------

    ----Lustig(C)------------Denayer------------Virgil--------------Izzy-----

    ------------------------Biton/Kayal----------Johansen--------------------

    -----------Tonev------------------McGregor---------------Wakaso-------

    -----------------------------------Scepovic-----------------------------

Can see this becoming the main first team squad under Ronny.

One of the 3 behind the striker need to drop out when we go more defensive. Izzy at LB needs addressed, need someone else brought in.

Subs - Fasan, Berget, Kayal/Biton, Ambrose, Fisher(When fit), Stokes(For now, needs replaced with better back up), Henderson.

That looks a pretty decent team to me, manager is starting to build something.

The rest who I've not mentioned more or less time to ship out.

Your right it's a bit speculative but if we get them all over the line I'm quietly excited with the squad..:shamrock:

    4-3-3:

    Gordon
    Lustig Denayer VanDijk Izaguirre
    Brown Johansen Commons
    McGregor .....................Forrest
    Scepovic (hopefully)

Admittedly, Commons is shoehorned in there but I couldn't leave him out.

    4-2-3-1

    Gordon
    Lustig Denayer VanDijk Izaguirre
    Brown Johansen
    McGregor Commons Forrest
    Scepovic

Current best line-ups include Stokes over Scepovic.. I'm just hoping the Serb can be the striker we've all been hoping for.

Commons has played well in the games he has been selected for , ambrose is a decent defender and has pace , can play out from defence but needs players to show for a pass , he also has to get his head up , he has a place in the team if our defence is tight and we have a better defensive midfielder in and around him while moving forward .

If all those players were injured we could still have...

    Zaluska
    Fisher Ambrose Mulgrew Matthews
    Biton Kayal
    Berget
    Griffiths Stokes Forrest

BENCH: Fasan, O'Connell, McGeouch, Henderson, Commons, Boerrigter and Pukki

Shows the depth we have now as that squad would win the League, yet could be missing the First Team lol

I would expect a left back to come in to challenge Izzy. After Twardzik on Saturday Ronny will know there is no competition there at present and MAtthews is injury prone.

Exactly, squad is far, far too big and needs trimmed urgently. I expect to see at least 10 players leave over the next week.

Finny you off on one again?

He is forgotten!!! he is the club captain FFS he will be right back in that squad once he is even 75% fit, am not a big brown fan but he drives that team on and he will get better as a holding midfielder under ronny!

seriously wee man see if you dont know anything about football dont speak, right enough you were the guy who had tony watt saving us the £3.2m we have to pay for a striker, but your entitled to your opinon!:50:

No your team is exact same as mine on another thread, except i have brown in for kayal/bitton.:smiley-laughing002:

think we can try and cut minimum 7 out of the "depth" pool though

    -----------------------------------Gordon--------------------------------

    ----Lustig------------Denayer------------Virgil--------------New LB-----

    ------------------------Brown(C)----------Johansen--------------------

    -----------McGregor------------------Odegaard---------------Wakaso-------

    -----------------------------------Scepovic-----------------------------

Going with this as our strongest team. As much as I lobe the wee guy I have lost all faith in Izzy and I feel Deila doesnt rate him at all and will be seeking competition.

brown and johansson in the middle bring the energy work rate and pressing attitude required for Deilas style of play. Also due to Deilas tactics Commons just cant be in the team regardless of what he done last season. Its harsh but if we are to progress as a team I feel this is the way to go.

I think Wakaso will make the left wing his own position. I have put martin odegaard in there being very hopeful and probably unrealistic but if we are in the champions league ye never k ow we might statch him up before the deadline. If not I feel Tonev could do a job in there behind the striker.

Scepovic is in ahead of stokes as I dont rate stokes at all although I feel hes done well so far this year wothout being prolific.

A new era is dawing :-D

I still think there could be 1 or 2 more in if we qualify for group stages, really didnt see us spending any money before window but maybe ronny is right "good things could happen in the last week"

Aye let's get rid of Stokes, Commons and Brown and have 4 guys in the team you've yet to see play a game :56:

    GORDON

    LUSTIG VAN DIJK DENAYER IZZAGUIRRE

    KAYAL BROWN
    MCGREGOR JOHANSEN WAKASO

    SCEPOVIC

I would have Ambrose pushing for a place in the defensive midfield two of brown and kayal aswell as biton depending on his progress. Mulgrew pushing Izzy for the LB spot as well as covering at CB. Forrest , Tonev , Commons and Berget all pushing for the attacking places as well as Stokesy pushing for the centre forward spot.

In easier spl games i would drop kayal or brown and put johansen back in that position and allow berget or commons to start in the attacking midfield.

ciaran on this thread and another thread about the serbian bhoy the general opinion is tonev, mubarak and scepovic will be in our strongest 11, just a bit of fun and opinion, brown is in most teams right enough, stokes makes most benches and people seem happy to sell commons if right offer comes in.
