Soriano is in the last year of his contract, could be picked up for £4 million. Wages in the austrian league will not be to different to the SPL. There are only 3 good teams in that league and the average stadium capacity is just over 12000.

It is not a wealthy league. id guess he is on €30K - €35k a week which we could afford.

As soon as this thread was created I could sense forum members all over the country clicking on the Football Manager icon on their laptops.

Some bargain binner from the Norwegian first tier.

Because that's what's going to happen.

Soriano is rated at about 5.5M atm but what an addition he could be to us...
We offered Red Bull Salzburg (the highest bin from any other club interested) 10M last year and were told to pish off trying to get him. Those dickheads Newcastle are intersted in him as well, wish that lot would * off and get relegated again...

We urgently need a Talisman up front and it's lads like this we need NOW,but I'm preaching to the choir here.

Steven Fletcher. Surely we could get him for cut price 4/5 million? picked up a few injuries past few seasons and never played much last season, wages would be more than what we pay but surely a 28k a week package would tempt him?

Pandev is a high quality player, I agree. He was on loan at Napoli initially and made a lot of appearances from the bench in his first season as I recall. He only scored 6 in 30 appearances but I think he only started a dozen or so games. (They had Cavani, Lavezzi Hamsik etc as forward players back then.)

The move to Napoli became permanent for a fee of around £10m. Last season he only made 17 starts. He says he is happy at Napoli though and is reputedly on about £35k p.w.

I think he is just a little out of our range at present. I think it would take £8m - £10m to get him and the wages would not sit well with Celtic. (I assume he would want £40k per week or more to move to Scotland.)

He is a good shout, though, as I would love to see a player of that quality at Celtic if the board were prepared to go a bit nuts.

Iv always wanted us to try and get Roque Santa Cruz. Even though he is probably at the sunset of his career, always been a quality target man. Probably wouldnt leave Malaga for us.

Id give Andreas Cornelius of Kopenhagen a punt. Cardiff paid good money for him and he didnt do much there, but he is still young and can reach his potential.

id like Troy Deeney and Matej Vydra too. Sako of wolves looks good too. I should just stick to champ manager.

Our scouts should have a look at Shakhtar Donetsk's squad. Surely their best players must be desperate for a move out of Ukraine?

I suspect they are on very good money, right enough.

Jelle Vossen 4 million or Mitrovic from Anderlecht 5/6 million

Don't think I've ever seen Jelle Vossen, but Mitrovic is a superstar to be, and would cost way more than £5 - 6m I suspect. Like three or four times more.
