Who's to say Petrescu would have been any better than Delia! Split milk -move on! Get the appeal out the way and 3pts in Perth will do me from the * over the past few weeks!

He said: "I wouldn't say it was inevitable but it might have been on the cards. There's been no investment at the minute in the team.
Stating the obvious or sticking the boot in?

"Ronny hasn't really had much time to bed himself in with John Collins or get to know the players. "

"Those qualifiers are always really tricky and it took me a year or two. I remember Gordon Strachan in his first season losing 5-0 in Bratislava.
Showing support for the management team or sticking the boot in?

"We won the second leg 4-0 – but it was too big a gap to recover. "It can happen. They're not out of the tie but they're going to have to play supremely well to go through now.
Being optimistic about our chances or sticking the boot in?

The Champions League is always important for Celtic, it gives the fans and players something to look forward to.”
Statement of fact or putting the boot in?

    Kyogo. A phenomenon
    Give this man a coconut.

In short, bang on re the Petrescu reasoning. I reserve caution re "great position" as the squad is getting appreciably worse year on year, however.

Real Craig Burleyesque comments(highlighted above) as many here feel he is the new Craig Burley.
The most hated ex player since Kenny Miller has to be Neil Lennon. First the media whips most of the football supporters in Scotland to turn against NL. Now they are managing to do the same with many "Celtic" supporters. He risked death threat and endured assault to stay a Celtic. What loyalty do we show him?

The only people left in the game of football with loyalty are supporters, Lennon chose to stay loyal to Celtic as long as it suited HIM, he stayed and continued his job during all the off field stuff because it was the best job he could get at that point. In my opinion loyalty is not running down the club he "loves", running down the league we play in and his former players just to get his face on t.v (whether what he says is true or not).

    * Petrescu and anyone else who doesnt want to come here !!
Im more interested in the ones who do.
Weve had ex players and stuff running us down in the past, present and future.(McGarvey, Walker, Burley the list goes on)..
I prefer guys who dont damage the clubs image like Tom Boyd, The Maestro and Hartson etc.
If the others have opinions then fine, let them have them.
We have Ronny Deila now and he seems delighted to be here and will work his * off to get us to where he wants us to be.
Lets hope he makes a few * eat their words. All we need to do in the meantime is ignore the other *, give him some time and back him up the way real Celtic fans do and im sure he do just fine !!
    Hail Hail :celt_2:

What a load of absolute pish. He stayed for the assaults, death threats and bombs and bullets because he couldn't get a better job?

Have a * word with yourself.

Agreed. He said nothing wrong there. If anything it's good to see he cares. Peoole forget he's a Celtic fan too and he'd also have been hurting after the Legia game, just like the rest of us.

He only made a specific comment about the banner disappointing him in answer to a direct question; he didn't have a general go. It was an opinion lots of fans shared and he also said good things about the GB on several occasions.

I happened to disagree with him but he was absolutely entitled to give his opinion.

We all know what the 'problem' lenny and petrescu refer to. Its the lack of investment available or being offered to the manager.

We have brought in a lot of money recently, more than at any other time during our history, have we sold players for 12.5M, for 5.5M, for 2.5M, for 10M.

This is now happening regularly selling players for a lot more than we paid for them. The only other is Mcgeady at 9.5M. There should be questions being asked at the board, if this money isn't being invested back into the squad then please tell us that its being used to pay off the long term bank loan asap.

Because to the untrained eye Celtic are raking in 30M + in transfer fees over the last 2 years and only a third has been reinvested. Thats not taking into account the CL over the last 2 seasons.

Fair enough, he loved the club enough to stay during death threats, however as soon as his budget is slashed he decides he cant handle it.

I think you might be right!

I think its fair to say all those sticking the boot into Lennon for absolutely nothing but telling the truth probably never really liked him anyway. Why else would they be so super sensitive to truthful comments made by a guy who done so well for us as a player, coach and manager?

Or maybe as a Celtic fan he decided that he wasn't going to get the support he needed and that, after giving us 4 good years, sorting out Mowbray's mess, 3 titles, 2 CL group stages and a CL last 16, it was best for both parties he moved on with his head held high.

We don't know what happened there and he doesn't really owe you an explanation anyway.

How many people would take a job fighting in the front line because it was the best job they could get? Would you go fight in Gaza if the money was right? Is it a human trait to be happy to put yourself in danger because the money is good? Neil Lennon has put up with more hardship as a Celtic employee than anyone who has gone before him.

Where is all the hatred for Henrik Larsson who * off and left us for a cushy number in the sun? Do you feel he has been disloyal?

Apologies if I misunderstood but it seemed to me you were calling into question his courage in staying through the death threats and implying he ran away "as soon as his budget was slashed".
