No way are we considering this, more of a case of ''let's not dignify it with an answer''. Although publicly criticising Leiga for their grammatical errors on the paperwork would be * hysterical.

That there is the first step to accepting it:50:
You have to keep that mindset & be strong.

The next thing is if we agree to let you back in our CL spot
you will be wanting both spots.

    How come?

Legia made a simple clerical mistake and thanks to that you were awarded a CL spot, despite losing 1-6 in the tie. I really don't see how you can consider yourselves victims.

Telling someone to shut up based on the hysterical drivel they have posted is attacking them?! You sitting there wrapped up in cotton wool or something?

I want a statement and I want it NOW! That's been more than two hours, totally scandalous. Oh and I want statements about the huns and all their financial cheating as well, don't think we've forgotten about those statements. Gie us them, NOW! :47:

Legia decide themselves bring on a suspended player, rightfully disqualified by UEFA (according to the very clear rules), but are trying to make Celtic out to be in the wrong in all of this?

    * them :bbpd:

What would Legia do if they had been beaten 6-1 over two legs and CFC had fielded an ineligible player ?
Exactly the same as CFC and grab the second opportunity with both hands .
I feel sorry for our Polish friends but money is money !

I keep reading the words "unjust" and "completely disproportionate" when referring to Legia's punishment.

Let's get this straight: Legia were punished by forfeitting the match 3-0 for naming a suspended player in their match squad and playing him in full and correct accordance with the UEFA disciplinary guidelines. Nothing more, nothing less.

Unfortunately the knock-on effect of this 3-0 defeat meant an aggregate victory for Celtic on away goals and hence Legia ended up knocked out of the competition.

Had the aggregate score been 5-4 or more to Legia then nothing would be getting said about this. There would be no calls of the punishment (which is standard according to UEFA disciplinary rules) being "unfair" and "completely disproportionate".

IN response to statements made by Legia Warsaw today, a spokesperson for Celtic Football Club said:

“We are disappointed by Legia Warsaw's comments. This is entirely a matter for UEFA and its processes. Accordingly, we will reserve further comment for the appropriate time.”

    I'm not picky.
You know this is actually becoming very pathetic now from Legia. They are doing their damndest to try to get back in to a tie they don't belong in because of a stupid mistake...THEIR stupid mistake. Would it be any different if it were the other way around? No, would it *. They would be in the next round and they would enjoy it.

I wish they would just * off, let it drop and get on with their own league!!

Not as simple as a 'clerical mistake'. It's not as innocent as that. They knew he shouldn't be playing and brought him on anyway.

this... The problem is Legia broke the rules.

Torq, the sad thing is i like Legia. I mean how many clubs would be so naive as to not read the rules and regulations? the statement said they have been working towards this for 8 years, right? (paraphrasing) In all that time, did they never consider reading the * rule book?

Maybe you guys should become a hockey team or something. Football isn't for you guys.
