This could be a good loan signing.

The fact that we where willing to pay £2mil last season and are now getting him for effectively nothing seems like a good deal to me even though he didnt do much last season you don't lose talent overnight.

I hope this is a goer.

were desperate for a top class striker but.we need wingers more than anything I hate playing guys like Griffiths, mcgregor, berget, stokes on the wing when it isn't there position.no point having a good striker if we don't have the wingers to cause teams problems and produce the goods and good service to that striker.

Derk could still do a job a new manager is perfect chance for him to start again, is he injured ? and Forrest is back to fitness(obviously don't know how long he'll last) so I hope we focus on our own players first.

Considering we can hardly keep our players for long, these days, we may as well just loan like * all over Europe. It'd save the burden of transfer and signing on fees.

Its not a hideous signing and the terms are good, getting to test him out over a season after a failed year at Villa. Hopefully he can do a job and add something extra on the wing, just need a right sided winger and a striker that can win a header and who is clever enough to get in the right positions in the box now. Gonna need to spend money for that though so probs wont happen.

If there's no buying option at the end if the loan it's pointless. Hopefully there is.

I'm pretty sure its being reported as there being a signing option at the end. Probably wont take it up though, if he has.a great season Villa will take him back and if he's * we'll send him back.

Didnt think thats how deals like this worked i thought u agreed a price at the start u take them for the season paying their wages then if u like him u pay the agreed fee and if the player is happy to sign a contract hes yours just like what happend with forster and us.

If we've a signing option and he has a good season the idea is that Villa have no say in whether he stays with us or not, it's down to us to offer him a contract.

Does it matter if we have an option to buy? Surely if he performs well in the Champions League Aston Villa will just slap down a massive improved contract offer to him?
