Your missing the point mate. Regardless of whether we are punished by UEFA or not (and we will be, don't doubt that) this moron has tarnished the great reputation our great support has all around the world by this one moronic action. The game last night was screened to a world wide audience. To the millions of neutrals around the world it shows a drunken * of a Celtic fan being allowed to run on to the park after his team has scored and slapping, patting, tickling call it what you will the goal keeper of AC Milan. No doubt those same millions will laugh long and hard about the reaction of Dida who went down as if shot by a snipers bullet......But the bottom line is this clown did our good reputation the world over a disservice. We all talk about doing things 'The Celtic way'.......I only hope those people at UEFA realise that this creatures actions are not in anyway part of being what a Celtic fan is all about.

Let's hope UEFA use more common sense than they did on that occasion Henke67. On that occasion the 'missle' never even touched the Vienna player yet the club was crucified as you well know.

    Totally agree.
We were welcomed in Milan last March and that * could well have tarnished our relationship with the Milanese people too. Hope not as they (AC fans) are brilliant.

    Hello from Nottingham :bbpd:

Watched the game last night and dead chuffed with the win lads !!

The * that ran on the pitch wants a good hiding. Yes Dida is a cheat but that *'s actions may lead to some dire consequences.

    Well done again !! :celt_2:

the slap reminded me of the time thommo done it to ricksen. it was more of a "hahaha how do you like that one son" kinda slap. It's not what the fan done thats the problem, it's what he could have done that people are concerned about.

Dida how can you ever put a shirt on again, what a discrace!!!
Not looking forward to the repercusions from UEFA (just a fine though i think/hope) or the Milan fans in the return match!! Got pelted with * and puke from above last time!!

Agreed!! You don't get long to savour these moments because games come thick and fast, enjoy it while we can, I think we'll get a fine and nothing more. Doesn't take away from the result though for me, we beat AC Milan European Champions - Fact

it wasnt even his face he patted, it was his shoulder. Dida not only was guilty of gross simulation and trying to cheat, he also misused a medical team and took the simulation to a crazy length. If I was Milan I would drop the guy or at least fine him. He shamed a great club with great fans.

Personally I don't care if Dida doesn't get punished at all. He will be remembered for a LONG time for what he did and he's basically a laughing stock now, I think that's punishment enough!

The prospect of the club being hit with a massive fine, being forced to play games behind closed doors, having the result overturned and having our supporters' reputation dragged through the mud in front of a worldwide audience... yeah I can't see why that would sour the game for anyone.

He's meeting with Celtic's head of security Ronnie Hawthorns this afternoon where i'd imagine the cops will be called and he will be arrested.

Apart from entering the pitch he has not done anything imo. He hardly even touched dida and it was not his intention to hurt him.

I guess he'll get a fine and unfortunately a lifelong stadium ban.

I think as well as the life ban he should be made to pay any fine/loss of money no matter how long it takes - even 200 quid a month for the next 50 years. I

unfortunately?? Are you mad. The * deserves it and he will have to go into hiding if the club get seriously punished beyond a fine and the papers get his name.
