Mulgrew is good in a midfield of 5 yes, but not in a 4. He is far too slow. He's much better on the ball than any of our midfielders, but he doesn't have anywhere near the pace. He is not a midfielder full stop. He's just not athletic enough.

He's a centre half - He's tall and can play the ball. And I personally think he's the best leader outside of Scott Brown.

He cocked up in the games against Legia, but we're through. Get it right up them. Hopefully by the time we play Maribor we'll have bucked our ideas up and we'll progress.

Biton sitting just behind kayal and johansen for me against maribor..

Have to be tighter in the middle and quick on the counter, Biton has those passes to unlock when we nick possession..

I watched the reaction of the players when Legia scored the first goal at Murrayfield. Mulgrew stood hands on hips head down, the only person noising the players up to react....Lustig. I saw it right away. Lustig has leadership qualities, no doubt. I'd leave as CB and captain.

No, that's not washing with me. He's had his chance and well and truly screwed it up for himself. It's time he was made an example of by Ronny. You can't expect to perform like that and then play the next game captain or not, that is sending out a very wrong message, do you not see that?

No, I don't think so. Don't get me wrong, I remember him putting in some great set-pieces, but I think his overall play was mediocre at best (particularly when he was in midfield).

He hasn't been good enough for about a season and a half now.

He should definitely be dropped. He's hopeless in a two man midfield.

Fair enough, but I don't agree. As far as I'm concerned he shouldn't be anywhere near a Celtic first team.

Agreed mate. His time is up now, people need to take the tinted specs off and realise he just isn't good enough.

Scott Brown is the only player in this team worthy of holding the captaincy at Celtic. When he's missing there's no real fight in midfield, nobody's willing to get stuck in. Doesn't seem to be anyone willing to step up and lead in his absence either.

If Deila takes the armband off Mulgrew it will destroy his confidence and he'll play even worse. Best option is to drop Mulgrew entirely; start Kayal alongside Johansen and give the armband to Lustig.

    I'd release him tomorrow.

Two performances against Legia weren't just * they were a disgrace.

Commons is the obvious choice, surprised Mulgrew got the armband over him. Our most experienced player.

I agree, his best season was when he played at left CB and he has been played out of position since which is not good for him. He deserves a chance to play in his best position for the team.

He doesn't fit it the team like he used, when we had our big target men, Sammy and wanyama in the box his job was to put the ball on there heads from free kicks and corners. And because he had a great cross on him It didn't matter he was slightly off the pace.
Anyway now he can't/isn't doing that he really doesn't look like he fits in the team.
