I have played against Jo Inge Berget a few years ago and watched him many times over the last years. He should be able to do well in the SPL, but he hasn't proved himself on an international level yet. He failed at both Udinese and Cardiff, so can't see him making it here. He has done well against the likes of England and France at U21 level though.

He is a smart player with good passes and decent finishing, but he is rather slow and weak. Anyway, he is only on loan so if he doesn't do well, then just don't sign him! Got nothing to lose on just checking him out for 6 months.

Thats the strangest part on this move, loan to buy a player who only played for you a couple of year back and would have cost a few hundred grand..

Either ronny doesn't rate the player he had and is signing or pl said no to a straight cash transfer..
    Hmmm..

Calm down guys, its just an opinion, he could turn out to be a great player but at the moment you have to call it how you see it. Fair enough celtic are well known to dabble in the market with cheap players but the fact he's had several clubs and loan spells is worrying, can anyone really see him breaking in the team with the current strikers at hand?

He looks really good in the video. Fast, strong, good touch and a raker of a shot from the edge of the box.

Happy with that. He's fairly experienced, played in Italy with Udinese, obviously another internationalist and someone Ronny knows. His first signing and the start of Ronny's revolution at Celtic.

Plays 4 different positions as well which is always good. Secondary striker, attacking midfield and left wing and right wing.

Scores goals with both feet, but really he's a counter attacking player.

Cardiff played him as striker, which isn't maybe his best position.

Happy with this one, good experienced internationalist and Ronny finally getting to bring in his own people.

    Bring it on.

Both Ronny and Ole gunnar Solskjaer rate him as a good player so that will do for me, they know him better than anyone on here. Even if he wasn't getting a game for Cardiff there could be umpteen reasons for that out with his actual ability. Its a loan, we have nothing to loose and all to gain :)

Deila was a fool to take this job-Lawwell will mess with him so much. But maybe he truly hasn't got an idea on who to sign??:43: I mean, he worked in a team that had less funds than us, but there wasn't a need to buy really good players either. Perhaps he will struggle to adapt his signing policy to the new standard of league?

Calm down and see what he can do

1.2million for a striker who doesn't start for us and a loan signing to replace him with the option to buy is good business. Gives us money to buy other players and hopefully a versatile player

He's had no say in signing a Norwegian who played under him at his former club? No say at all?
