ahem....he made us wait a week before giving us a decision. He flew to Glasgow and we agreed terms with him and Wislaw. Then Wislaw sack their chairman and the manager and Peter Lawell flys out to speak with the NEW board who change the financial goal posts. As cash flow is extremely tight forcing them to look at the greater picture.

If we pay £2million up front this may mean we can't afford Niemi or Craig Bellamy ( not that it matters now) I'm told from a few Polish guys that Wislaw have have in the past made deals extremely difficult for Zurawski and have fecked a couple of transfers for him.

In fact some Polish media have suggested this was a further attempt to * this deal, in a bid to keep him.

Although they are no shining example and as hard as it is to believe the board are NOT always to blame!

Unleash the " Magic "! Thank *, if we'd lost him as well, it was looking grim. So 2M down, I reckon we've got another 4M to spend, not the 15M that was in the rags.
I reckon they would have used the money put aside for Bellamy to conclude the rest of our transfers, and WGS will probably take in some trialists as well.
Can see WGS signing certain players on pre-contracts in January, Riordan, Hartley and Robbie Keane all spring to mind. IMO the clock is ticking down on Hartson's time at Cp, but you never know, maybe WGS will get him fit and working harder for the team.

Don't worry about it. It'll give him more bargaining power once he asks for a pay rise. Really looking forward to seeing him in action.

Ok both ways for three years. Maybe that was part of the problem and u can never be sure about a player but if this guy is half as good as he looks he will be ok!

YES!!!!! what a sigh of relief!!!!!! i could not be happier for Zurawski as he goes to such a great club like Celtic
i will be getting a top very soon
GO CELTIC GO CELTIC!!!!!!! i will make sure to watch all Celtic CL qualifying matches!!!!!
Even though i know this will already happen, but Celtic fans must make sure to give him a warm welcome in CP so he feels at home, and from then on its goal after goal for Magic

    Only 2 years says PA

Celtic have finally completed the transfer of striker Maciej Zurawski for £2million after the Poland international signed a two-year contract.
The 29-year-old has taken his time in deciding to leave Wisla Krakow for Parkhead, eventually snubbing the advances of Turkish side Trabzonspor in the process.
But the two clubs took an age to decide the payment structure of a deal and Hoops chief executive Peter Lawwell flew out on Sunday and returned a day later with a set of proposals from the Polish champions.
The player, regarded as Poland's top striker and who scored in World Cup qualifiers against England, Wales and Northern Ireland last season, arrived in Scotland today to finalise the move.
Celtic were able to announce the completion of the transfer earlier than anticipated but chose not to hold a press conference in light of the terrorist attacks in London.
"We are delighted Maciej has signed for the club. This is something we have been working hard for over the last couple of weeks," said manager Gordon Strachan.
"He promised that he would be back with us to sign - and that is exactly what he has done.
"Maciej's international and league record in terms of goalscoring is exceptional, and it was this and his all-round play which attracted us to him."
Zurawski added on the club's website, www.celticfc.net: "I am very happy to sign for a club of Celtic's stature.
"I hope to perform well for Celtic in Scottish football and hopefully in the Champions League as well.
"Celtic has a great history and wonderful fans and I am very excited about playing for my new club."
The deal is a major boost for Strachan, who saw his quest to persuade Newcastle striker Craig Bellamy to turn last season's five-month loan deal into a permanent arrangement thwarted when the Wales international returned to England to sign for Blackburn earlier today.
Lawwell assured Celtic fans the long wait to acquire Zurawski would be worth it once the season was under way.
"Although the process took a little longer than we had hoped, we had to ensure that this was the right deal for the club," he said.
"We are delighted now to have concluded Maciej's signing and welcome him to Celtic Park.
"Having secured Mo Camara, Jeremie Aliadiere and Zurawski, we are also hoping to make a few more additions to Gordon's squad over the coming weeks."
Algeria international Djamel Belmadi, a former midfielder with Paris St Germain, Celta Vigo and Marseille, has already begun a trial spell at the club.
The 29-year-old also spent four months on loan at Manchester City in 2003 and is regarded as a playmaker in the style of Lubo Moravcik.
Should he prove a success he could cut short a spell in the Middle East with Al Ittihad and it is understood Celtic would be able to sign him without paying a fee.
    end

We love skillful players. If he is anything as good as the way he's been built up, he will be an absolute hero to the Celtic support.
