i am self-employed and regularly do work for people who might not have the £ there and then, i would just invoice them and collect it at a later day or they would just post it to me.
problem is, i did a job for a woman 3 wks ago,the total cost was €300,on the day i did the work she had no €,and i arranged to collect it today,
i got an txt mess this morn from someone complaining that the work should not have cost as much and that i was 'on the dole' (which im not)but i don't no if it is from this woman's family or not! but when i ring the number no answer!!
let say it is,where do i go from here???:31::47:

Go round and ask for the cash. Then ask her if she knows who sent the message and why they sent it.
I'm self employed and that's what I'd do.

    Good luck.

She is chancing her arm in my opinion, hoping you are on the dole and will be afraid to demand the money she owes you in case she sticks you in to the social. Get your * round to her place pronto and DEMAND payment. Let her know you mean business. You did a job, your due payment.....end of story.

you could threaten her to take her to the small claims court and your in the process of seaking a lawyer,as the thought of her going to court will put the wind up her as she could end up paying out more than what the job has cost her initially.

The fact that 'someone' could complain or pass any comment on the work you had done tells the story mate. Unless she is in the habit of bringing complete strangers into her home to debate the workmanship of any jobs done in her home, i think it's safe to assume that if she is not the one contacting your mobile it is a family member or close friend. Remember also that she herself would have had to give your mobile number out to the person making the call/text.

She's trying to pull a flanker, taking you for a *, get around her hoose and spank her, tell her your no shyster. Yer not a *, ye did a good job......you want yer few bob or ye'll smack her gob!

Either that or ignore it and put it down to experience. :34:

In all seriousness celtboy, take a witness with you. If she is clued up enough to try and pull the 'no payment' stunt then no knowing what she is capable of doing.........or saying, should it come to anything involving the law. Best of luck with it. :celt_2:

You've a right to have a temper, the old broad is tryna rip you off by £300, most folk would be quite * off. March yourself up and demand your money, see what the craic is, if shes still not up for paying get her to the small claims court.
