I think this saga has gone too far, and surely the Celtic board realize that if it falls through, the Hoops fans will want a decent explanation as to why it failed. This would be hugely embarrassing to Celtic, and could potentially damage relations with the board and our new manager. WGS must be a bit * off that he doesn't have more new faces for pre-season training so far.

Yeah, reminded me a wee bit of the bunnet McCann.
remember his " I shall be heard " speech at halftime one game.
Love him or loathe him, he did what he said he would, notice Quinn has never really set any concrete goals to achieve.

The transfer window is open for another 2 months so I'm sure GS will be delighted to have 2 players in already with Zurawski joining us soon.

McCann turned us from * to great to * again. How he treated Wim Wansen was an absolute disgrace.

You would imagine Lawell would have set out for Poland
with some authority to conclude this deal without
having to ring home. I can't believe how amateurish
this episode is, it's embarassing. :52:

It's a long one so no full translation this time. As I thought, Wisla demands more than 3M Euros - installments' interest rate rises it up to 3.4M. Zurawski says he's getting irritated by the length of talks cause it's disturbing his pre-season preparation. However, Lawell seems to be sure about the completion of a deal.

Besiktas is said to be offering Wisla 3.5M and and a free years deal worth another 3M net for Zurawski. Jurczynski told the press that if they don't get to terms with Celtic by the end of the week, they'll start to listen to other offers.

I believe it's a case of Bellamy OR Zurawski.

Bellamy or Zurawski, what a case, Zuraw is cheaper and much better then Bellamy who is someone that we call in Poland "raider without head". That's my opinion.

    The possibilities are as follows:

    1) Celtic pays 3 M Euro in one rate and gets Żurawski without any problem.
    2) Celtic pays 3 M Euro in installment rates PLUS interest rate (how much - it depends on the number of installment rates). That's where figure of 3,4 M comes from, but it can be less.
    3) Celtic cannot decide until the end of the week, and Wisła starts to negotiate the deal with Besiktas (they offer 3,5 M plus much better contract for the player) or Fiorentina (they lost Fabricio Miccoli as he came back to Juventus) and need a striker.

    It's as simple as that.

There's an increasing level of anger building up about this. Only with Celtic do you get the Chief Executive running back for instructions while the main shareholder and the manager are playing golf over in Ireland. Could he not phone the bloke? Was he afraid he might get in the way of Desmond's game? If the game-playing extends beyond golf I will be absolutely disgusted.

Well I guess everyone now knows how incompitent Celtic's board are.
Its embarrassing, Rangers fans must be * themselves at Celtic's feeble attempts.
I notice they've signed another Monaco player today without any hitches.
It looks like we always go for the bargain basement when it comes to selecting our board.
I wonder how many of them it takes to change a lightbulb???

They first have to buy the lightbulb, and they believe that if they wait around they might be able to buy it cheaper. They would then propose a a 5 year payment plan for the lightbulb or offer to take the lightbulb on loan for a while to see how it works before another club come along and just pay the asking price. BQ would then insist that there is nothing wrong with candles anyway, and that all clubs will be using candles in the coming years given the current climate in the lightbulb market...

    What a f***ing joke - JUST SIGN HIM FFS!! :31: :31: :31: :31: :54:

That's all correct about Żurawski. He describes the situation as "Brasilian soap-opera" that lasts much too long. He was about to leave in December but then Wisła could't get on with Turks and others, though it was very close to the deal. Now there's doubt about Celtic. The season preparation is about to start, everybody in the club said farewell to him, but there's still no firm ground for the player... Pity.

Dziekanowski's 4 goals were in Cup Winners Cup season 89/90. It was 1st round, second leg against Partizan. We lost away 2-1 (so that was probably his debut) and then won 5-4, but sadly lost on away goals... Probably the best game Dziekanowski had for the Bhoys. Anyway, though he was great technical player, he was completeley different personality than Żurawski. Too much fun in the disco, much less sweat on the traing ground - that was his case.
Żurawski, as soon as he establishes himself, promises more constant good form and a lot of joy for the supporters. Not just in one game.

Looking back, I think we'd need a defender in another Pole's (Dariusz Wdowczyk) style. He used to play here several yers ago. Very solid, tall, hard-working and dead ball situation specialits.

Zurawski is on the Wisla website saying that he is irritated...

The guys has the patience of a saint. Im surprised he hasnt already told us to GTF after all the grief, we've made him look like a * in front of his countrymen and teammates.

The silence from CP is deafening...

Celtic board are hangin about like wee boys waiting for Bellamy to seal the deal with Everton, then we'll move for Zurawski. By then he'll be a Besiktas player with one eye on the Celtic results wondering what could've/should've been.
I cannae get any work done while all this is going on and im getting grief off my Boss
    Gonnae please sign the boy...

"Celtic board are hangin about like wee boys waiting for Bellamy to seal the deal with Everton, then we'll move for Zurawski."

Exactly. Intuition tells me that all the fuss about Zurawski's transfer was just a tool of pressure on Bellamy to accept Celtic's offer with no REAL interest in the transfer at all. Only after Bellamy's club will reject the offer chances are to end the soap opera by Celtic's board. And if it is so, these guys obviously don't know what they are doing. Maciek is one of most underrated strikers in Europe these days. Bellamy's skills are weak compared to him. You are wasting your money on that guy.
