I'm with Vodafone. Phoned them at upgrade time and told them I wanted my PAC number to transfer my phone number to another network. Got put through to customer services and gave them a sob story about rubbish customer service when I was looking for an upgrade. Disappointed after being a customer for so long blah blah.

Anyway 5 minutes later, thay have halved my contract for a year and sent me a Nokia 6110 Navigator! Full spec on the Nokia website. Sorry can't post link as I am new!

Mobile phone with camera, mp3 player, internet and built in Sat Nav with UK maps already loaded and free to use.

In my experience as soon as you say you are leaving, they will offer you a reduction in contract at least.

On a related note, there is a website which pays you for your old mobile. Only conditions are it must work, be in reasonable(?) condition and have a battery. You can check the price they will give you online. Send your phone off and get a check in return. I got £45 for a Nokia from 2 years ago!

Again can't post the full link but I'm sure you can work out what's missing:86:

    wee tip for you mate.

phone them up and say your wanting to cancel your contract. when they ask why say its too dear, tell them of other deals your mates are getting with other companies. they will then offer you a better deal, i.e. cheaper rental, more texts for same money etc. the reason for this is because it costs the company lots of money and lots of time to scrub you. i use to work in a phone shop this is how i know.

my last deal i was paying 30 quid a month for 200 free mins and 600 free texts. i am now paying 35 a month for 600 mins and 1000 texts. they also offered me a new phone, but i had recently just got a replacement of my current one after dropping it in a pint :31: and was happy with it so dedclined, so they gave me 100 quid credit onto my bill instead

Got me a Nokia N95 on the orange network for free. £35 a month 250 texts 500 anytime any network minutes 25 free picture messages and aboot 2 hours internet time. Can't complain.

Thing i like about the N95 - smart as *, good UI. good software. Stunning 5mgpixel camera! GPS positioning! which is smart. Good internet browsing software which is unusual in a phone.

Thing i don't like about N95 - plastic. No delete all read messages/sent messages option (well i haven't found it yet. Orange network your having a laugh coverage is fun.....
