Artur Boruc admits he was out of order for clashing with Celtic teammate Lee Naylor before halftime of last week's Champions League epic against Spartak Moscow.
Boruc told the Celtic View: "There was quite a lot of emotion in the air but I shouldn't have exploded like that. I got really angry because we lost a goal in a situation we'd been warned to be careful about beforehand.

"The Russians were aiming corners to the far post and we weren't supposed to let them do it. We failed once, then twice and a third time as well.
"When it happened again it ended up very bad for us and the ball was in the back of the net. But I'm good friends with Lee and we settled our differences after the match. "The emotions have gone and everything's back to normal. But I have to confess I got carried away."

I thought he was wrong to raise his arms like that.Fair play to him for admitting it:50:

All credit to him and Naylor for solving the problem nice and fast :50:

Boruc was wrong to push him in the face, but Naylor needed a kick up the *, and fair play to him too for responding well to it, he was far better after that 1st half

Totally disagree, what was McManus supposed to do, push/kick him? Now that would be totally out of order from a captain! I don't like the way you jump to blame a player so easily

Boruc had every right as the last line of defence to have a go at Naylor for slacking off. Verbally not physically, although given the atmosphere i would have done exactly the same thing. least he's admitted that he shouldn't have laid hands on him.

And i agree if that had happened when Lennon had been captain he would have had something to say!

And pretty much everyone on this site complained about it. I don't want my captain punching his players. I'm sure McManus had something to say about it, so how is it his fault that Boruc went ballistic on Naylor??

Precisely, so Boruc did his job. What's the problem with McManus then?

Corners are one of Boruc's main areas of concern during a game and somthing he takes personal control of so really you can't expect McManus to know when every single player * up somewhere.

Good on him for addmitting he was wrong and doing it in such an open and honest way.

I reckon Naylor deserved the kick up the * and it aint done him any harm.

Boruc was out of order and you could see immediately on his face at the time he regretted what he had done.

However I think that the press and media have tried to make more of it. The two players have balls and hate poor performance including each others.

One thing I loved about this, is they were defended on TV by Alex Mcliesh for having a winning mentality.

boruc was right to get naylor told, and in the same vien, mick has nothing to do with it either, boruc is the boss when its goalkeeping duties, his box is his area! hes the only boss in there, any keeper in the world will say the same thing, shouldnt have lifted his hands, but naylor should have chased the * ball and try to prevent another corner.....

thtas said, theve sorted it and thats the main thing, and i dont think its a particularly bad thing to happen, im glad to see that wee bit of fight in the team.....and tell me, was naylor on brave pills or summat, the holy goalies hauns are like shovels man!!!

    hail hail

sayin that this was micks fault is totally out of order. Boruc was raging that Naylor let the ball go out for a corner so easily(obviously he thought it was a goal kick but he should be paying more attention and realise it was a corner). Because of this lapse of concentration Boruc charged up to Naylor screamed at him and gave him a slap on the back to say wake up. Naylor reacted to this and thats how it started. To say that there was anything big Mick could have done is a joke. What was he supposed to do? Run over to Naylor before Boruc got to him and Kick him up the * first????
