    Trabzonspor back in the game

It appears that Wisla Krakow will have to resume their negotiations with Trabzonspor. Representatives of the Turkish club are still trying to convince Maciej Zurawski to choose their offer. Turks ( They have recently offered Wisla 3.4 mln euro for Zurawski and defender Tomasz Klos ) are convinced that a consensus between Wisla and Celtic is only a matter of time and currently negotiate with Zurawski himself. The Polish striker has been recently jacked to play in Trabzonspor by his ex-team mate Miroslav Szymkowiak, Trabzo's midfielder who arrived in Cracow together with Trabzonspor vicepresident Metin Akbasoglu

    Trabzonspor attack again

    (today, 30 minutes ago)

Trabzonspor have no intention of allowing Maciej Zurawski to join Celtic – informs The Przegląd Sportowy. Wisla Krakow have just been offered 3,1m euro for the striker.
It is rumoured the negotiations may have looked as follows: Fax your offer - asked one of the Wisla bosses. No, I want you to say how much you need - replied Trabzonspor.

Trabzonspor are determined to outbid Celtic when it comes to Zurawski’s individual contract too and offer him a million euro a year. Zurawski refuses to comment on the press revelations and repeats he needs time to think things over.
    - Trabzonspor will not withdraw from the chase until the deal is done. - says Grzegorz Bednarz, Zurawski’s agent for Turkey.

Sadly, the negotiations do not look as if they are held by adults. Wisla do not know what they want. In Poland we would say they may "wake up with their hand in a night-pot" which means it might turn out to be too late to get anything if both clubs withdraw (touch wood), fed up with the procedure.

As for the Wisla fans and the media - most of them are in favour of Celtic: a giant, famous and likeable club. A lot of Polish people live, work and study in England or go sightseeing all over the British Isles (I do this every year, six visits to Scotland so far) - they would follow Maciek if he landed in Scotland. Trabzon do not evoke any emotions at all.

Maciej hesitates ... Not surprising. He is a quiet, shy man. In Trabzonspor Szymkowiak plays (left Wisla in winter) who is rumoured to be talking Maciek into joining him. It's always better to have someone to turn to when you are in need. I understand it. Pity, anyway.

It would be a major disappointment if if the transfer falls through (touch wood). This is the one rare bit of good news coming out of Celtic, and now we hear it might not happen...I think mainly Celtic and Wisla are to blame...credit to Trabzonspor, who offered 3.1 million euros which I think is what Wisla are looking for. Plain and simple..the Celtic board are an absoloute joke, always wanting to complicate things...this is the last straw as far as I'm concerned, if we don't land Maciej Zurawski I will turn against the men upstairs, completely!!

We need this player because Bellamy is a no go and most others like Keane dont seem to be happening.

Seen on teletext earlier that Celtic are going in for another year long loan deal for Bellamy. Their chairman Sheppard thinks it'll go through soon.

zurawski is not worth the £2million only worth about £1million michael owen would do a better job than bellamy him and hartson upfront zurawski only wants a nice paypacket like £20,000 aweek only in it 4 money let TRASPOURG of turkey have him.

What are you basing that on mikeybhoy? I'm convinced, from the clips i've seen and from what the polish bhoys have said in this forum that he is someone special that could really make a difference, and £2m isn't a lot in this climate - probably equates to round about the £650k we paid for henrick in the current transfer climate.
And Michael owen - are you havin a laugh??! How much of a tranfer kitty do you think we have??!

I have to disagree with mikey aswell, we need Magiz Zuraw.. I think though Bellamys loan would suit everyone, wouldn't it?

But nobody, including Wim Jansen, knew just how good larsson was going to be, and the point was not to compare Zurawski and Larsson directly, just that the transfer fee is comparable, and thank * nobody said at the time that he wasn't worth £650k, lets only offer £325 - £2m is not a lot of money for a transfer, and if he makes even half the impact that Larsson made then he's worth every penny.

And if you think that you can get owen for £6m then you're not living in the real world.

But i do agree that the bhoys rule if thats any consolation! :84:
