biscuit tin mentallity is back

everyone seen that we struggled against an average european side on wednesday night and were lucky to go through!!and what way does wgs deal with it,get rid of players!we have a real boring feel about the team now!!i mean if things arnt going well can hartley and sno really light up the team lol!it is obvious that wgs didnt want gravesen or kenny there!i thought they both would have been needed for champions league duty!last year are central midfield was the legend lennon and the mightily experienced gravesen!now its brown who yes will get better but whether or not he is up to CL football is another story!and donati again looked good against hearts but very average against spartak!!
the board love to con the fans and yous buy it eveytime!!while we get poorer buying overly priced merchandise, brian quinn and dermot desmond get richer!!last year with not even being in the champions league we showed alot of ambition by bringing in jarosik naylor JVOH and gravesen and it payed off helping us win the doublecc and get further than ever before in the CL
we could have got appiah,adriano on loan,maloney etc!!
i really am * off with the board and have no time for them!!
all we can do is hope that the players that are already here can go beyond their limitations

 

Jesus where have all these negative folk come from, Spartak weren't average, we beat a team who I think are better than Benfica and Shaktar. We have a squad of 26 players, everyone heard we were unlikely to sign anyone before the deadline, get over it and support the team

And a real boring feel to the team? you have it all backwards, we have had two great exciting games in the hearts and spartak games.

 

And there's no way we could have had Adriano on loan, and there was no point going after Appiah since he became cup tied

 

Biscuit tin, well and truly back I fear. How can a club like the smellies spend more than us when they haven't won * all for years, I know they are up to their legs in debt now, but we are not, let's take a small risk not so great as to undo all the great work done over the last couple of years, but a striker and a left back is not to much to ask.

 

you can go spend and get quantity as rangers have but do they have quality i dnt think so

 

whats the point in spendin money on a few players you know wont benefit the team thats probably what wgs thinks bout some of the targets he has went by

 

we aint buscuit team we went out and beat all the rich english clubs to get scot brown we got donati got mcdonald wen it was buiscuit tin years we only really got one player and that was pearson so saying buiscuit tin coz we never signed anybody is over the top a good result at the weekend will change all this bullshit

 

maybe wgs didnt feel the need to go out and buy loads of players as he has said he is happy with the squad. miller going was really inevitable as he wasnt guarenteed a start with there being 7 strikers there.

we didnt struggle against an average side they are a strong team from a stronger league than ours.

im happy with the way we are looking this season were playing well and the fact somone bid 9 million for brown only a few games into the season says it all.

the goals are coming from everywhere at the moment so do we really need a 25+ goal machine? i dont think so as long as they keep coming.

 

Load of bollocks. We've spent 8 million this summer.

Rangers spent 9 million by getting a loan on top of their existing dept. So essentially, their Champions' League money will be of no benefit to them, it will just pay for the players they bought this season.

huns have only made 0.7 milion

 

...and spartak are half way through their season and we are 3 or4 games into ours....we are glasgow celtic not real madrid so be happy we qualified

 

Is it just me or does anyone else feel robbed 50000 season ticket holders money mesrchandise sales at a record high champions league money guranteed. No promised wow signings just balancing the books 9million spent almost 8 million brought in plus saved wages sadly theese facts have left a bad taste in the mouth.

 

I don`t feel robbed. I would have liked to see a couple of players come in but not just for the sake of it. We have a good squad. We`ll be fine.

 

Might be waiting till January to sign Alexander Frei, he's injured at the moment so wouldn't pass a medica.

I'm happy with our squad and if we're going to add players I'd rather we added players to make the team better not just for squad depth

 

FS! ano everyones entitled to an opinion but why are so many people(would call them FANS but that means supporting the team and being positive) being negative about not signing anyone in the last few days.I would rather we do what WGS does by signing all his targets at the start of the transfer window so players have time to gel and everyone hits peak form at the same time than be hanging aroud like before when Martin O'Neill would wait till there about a week left and try bring in new faces.Strachan said he had targets but they were for the January transfer window(probably werent available for a transfer atm).For me theres plent of strength on depth,apart from the left back postion but as wilson,doumbe and o'dea can play there for now until WGS finds the right man.How many times have we wasted money on players who have made no impact whatsoever.I think Strachan is taking his time with players now as he seems to have a squad that has big players and characters(Boruc,Brown,Mc Manus,JVOH etc).Dont no how many of you keep upto date with reserve football but I watched their game against hearts(stachan was in the stand) and was very impressed with a few.Riordan had a good game out on the left while young Paul McGowan gave me the impression he will be kicking at Strachans door before the end of the season.Doumbe was solid at right back and Sno looked alot more agile has for me he may play a deep role but his passing is very attacking which is good to see.Also if need called on we have a few very talented youngsters in Ferry,Caddis and Bjarnason,which isnt even counting on Cillian Sheridan and Charlie Grant once there back to full fitness.I think we have a squad more than capable of progressing in the league and champions league and if need be we can strenghten in Jan.And for you saying we havent got a very attacking team now i can only assume you dont go to the games.The last 3 leagues games weve score 12 goals, had over 20 attempts on goal in the last 2 games and had about 6 clear cut chances to put a classy Spartak side out(not including big Jans penalty miss).What more can you possible want for your money.Why dont u take your cash over to the other side of glasgow as that negative approach is not appreciated here.

If we had been knocked out of the Champions League against an average team and were struggling in the league then I'd see why folk would be desperate for signings.

The truth is we've looked great in the league in the past couple of games and knocked out the best unseeded team from the Champions League - and we've done it by playing good end to end football!

 

ppl just make these threads the don't * argue there points just alot of * understudied ranting going on around here
