    yay!! :party: i think lenny is a :30: and deserves 2 be captain, he plays 4 the jearsy and is my top bhoy! looking 4ward 2 next season. not 2 happy with the story of jackie on that link. hes gone and the reason y should b dropped jackie was great 4 us and am disappointed hes gone but hes got 2 move on and so do we.

    I thought he was a really good defender and it's a pity he isn't staying with the hoops. Another reason why we need 2 defenders this summer.

    Jackie took over from Paul Lambert as an on field captain when Paul's games were numbered. If new signings do take place Lennon will find himself playing less and less as this year goes on.The captain needs to be on field and influential every week - that can only mean stan petrov

    He's the captain for his country, well he was, is he still? From the age of around 19 he has captained them and there has to be a reason for this.

    Don't mind Lenny being captain, but IMO him and Thommo should be squad players rather than 1st team regulars. It's time to build for the future, a new younger midfield around Stan,but with experience still in the squad. Lenny has always conducted himself well on and off the field and will be an example to the rest of the squad. The great thing about Celtic is that we don't appear to have any playboys in the squad, you never see anyone on the front page except for the Daily Ranger with their lies about the team's night out in Newcastle or their continued fascination with Neil or Craig "I'm 200 miles away when this happened" Bellamy. Must be so frustraiting for the Rangers biased media that they have to create stories about our club and players.

    Really don't see him playing more than about half the games next season - he was struggling this year

    would be a fitting end to his celtic career for lennon to be lifting 2/3 trophies at the end of the season. Lets hope so.

    I think being made captain would suggest that Lenny will be the first name on the team sheet next season. Will he be able to cope with all the games, especially now that our season has to start earlier for CL qualifiers? I'm not too convinced, but WGS played well beyond expectation for his age, maybe he'll get Lenny on the old banana and seaweed diet. Would still like to see Hartley sign for the Hoops,16 goals from midfield is a good return, especially if you play for the Huns reserves.
