Blind optimism....made even harder by the fact I watched it with a Bengals fans....nah worries always had a soft spot for Bengals, they needed the W more than we did....

Crazy end to the game last night. Falcons were on I think it was 2 and goal on the 10 yard line and were 3 points behind with 2 minutes to go. Interception led to a 90 yard run for a touchdown to the 49ers.

Watching Cleveland @ Pittsburgh Steelers; Mike Tomlin is sporting a jacket of the style last worn by Axel Foley.

Holy crap, some mad finishes again tonight.

Rodgers brilliant on the final drive, wouldn't have happened with Flynn playing.

    The Ravens will be back...

Kind of glad I can watch the Playoffs as a neutral and just enjoy it! Not much of a silver lining though :(

Backing the Bengals in the AFC even after today, I've always quite liked them. Backing the Eagles in the NFC. Come on the underdogs! As long as the Pats or Broncos don't win.

An insipid end to what has been a thoroughly disappointing season for the Ravens. Our offense started out bad and never at any stage got things on track. I kept hoping each week that signs of improvement would start to appear but it just never happened.

The frustrating thing for me is that player wise we are better than an 8-8 team. It's bad coaching and scheming that has led us to fail.

Personally I would like to see Juan Castillo and Jim Caldwell fired, possibly Dean Pees too. The mess Castillo has made of our offensive line and running game is unforgivable, the play calling of Caldwell is unimaginative and predictable and our lack of pass rush when we had Terrell Suggs and Elvis Dumervil on the field is an indictment of Dean Pees conservative 'bend but don't break' philosophy. Changes are needed to right this ship but if the right changes are made then we can be a play-off team once more next season.
