Mainstream media scaremongering as been stated already in two maybe three years time we'll have another disease to worry about something along the lines of the East African Elephant flu or whatever the media will want to call it. You're more likely to die of the common flu.

Almost certainly not ebola being blown out of all proportion by the media.

according to that reliable source the sun, the man in donegal died of ebola. I find this hard to believe because he had being going out and attending football matches. I thought ebola attacks the internal organs and it is an horrific death. He had only been back from sierra leone 2 weeks

Agreed. Media need to catch themselves on.

    They won't, of course.

Stuff like this is massive clickbait.

Can't see the Donegal case being ebola.

    * if it is though, Donegal would be worse than Sierra Leone in trying to contain something

They'd all head straight to Derry to pass it on out of sheer badness.

    I love Donegal btw.

If Ebola was found in Donegal Dublin 4 would be calling for it to be nuked from orbit.

Totally tuned out once that American doctor started thanking * for saving his life.
Nice to see his * giving poor African people a horrible disease that has killed hundreds.
why's he not stepping in there?

Disgraceful what that mans family was put through for nothing. The chances of it being ebola were extremely slim so these tests should have been done as quietly as possible without alerting the media. The media also blew it out of all proportion. Anything for a story in this callous profession.

It was reported on donegaldaily, they will literally print rumours as news.

Why is this still spreading? People with the disease should be isolated completely. The fatality rate's high so it would all but die out. Stupid *.

    What is it I'm missing?

John is infected with the Ebola virus. John is quarantined. John survives or he dies, the disease doesn't spread.

John is infected with the Ebola virus and just runs about covering everyone in bodily fluids, we have a full scale epidemic.
