I don't think they want to lose games. Anyone who plays football never wants to lose.

If the players want to express their discontent with the current regime they would surely do it behind the scenes.

If I was Strachan I wouldn't touch this job. Basically halved the wage budget, last 16 twice, 3 in a row etc and still got dogs abuse.

I actually think we'll find it difficult to get anyone decent in due to the playing squad and the lack of funds/wages on offer.

It's been obvious for months that the players don't want to play for Deila

I believe the board will give him one more season and let him know that if he doesn't improve the playing style, or get us into the Champions League group stage - he will be let go. Isn't that when his contract is up, anyway? Summer 2017?

Good point! A lot of good points on here tonight.

I had a lot less patience than most and felt this way 18 months ago. I think he has been given more than a fair chance, but he just isn't anywhere near good enough.

If it even goes to extra time on Sunday someone from the crowd should be picked to manage the remainder of the game.

It's a question that nobody has the answer too... But you have to question would the players really play up and put a title on the line just to get rid of the manager I seriously dought it

Comments like this annoy the * out of me.

I agree that Ronny should be gone as I dont think he is good enough to manage Celtic, but calling him a 'clown' is well wide of the mark and so is saying any 'reasonable' or 'competent' manager would have us strolling this league.

It's very difficult to stroll any league in professional football and we were lucky enough we had a great manager in Lenny to be able to do it when he was here. Saying that any reasonable, competent manager could do it just undermines what Lennon did here domestically and that's wrong IMO. Winning football matches is a very difficult thing to do and we've been lucky enough to have three great managers who could do it consistently in Lenny, WGS and MON in the last 15 or so years.

Ronny Deila proved with what he did at Stromsgodset that he is a capable coach and manager, just probably not what is required at Celtic at this time in his career.

I think we could appoint plenty of managers in football now who may do no better than Ronny, especially if they were to be on a similar spending budget. Thats why I think if he gets the sack the board need to appoint a relatively proven manager, someone like David Moyes, because we aren't in a position right now where we are able to take risks anymore.

I could see why du wei was tried back then in a game against clyde though. I think virgo is just a bit of a nugget.
